Keep getting emails from Town after matches (guess most of you do too). One says thanks for coming, the other says sorry you couldn't make it. Town's marketing dept?

Back to the game, thought we played as well today with the ball as we did against Forest. Without the ball we had to work a hell of a lot harder because Brentford were far far better as a team than Forest. The fact that they really prised us wide open only once to score (Mr. Wells please take note of how calmly Mr. Howson tucked the ball away) when they have ripped others to shreds and otherwise helped by some great goalkeeping by Smithies when they took aim from elsewhere around the box to me says we are becoming much better as a defence.
Noting your point ELT, Radi was our best midfielder by a country mile at the start of the season but isn't getting a sniff right now. Speaks volumes for how the lads in there have upped their game under Powell. Either that or Powell ain't impressed. Wouldn't be surprised now to see them sniffing around the top 6 come next May, though owt can happen. Wolves could easily be bottom half by Christmas and I think the Millers bubble is well burst of those that came up. Mr. Powell told Oggie he expects to be doing some business in January. Make of that what you will. Oggie also offered Jon Stead on behalf of Mr. 'oyle to the chickens for £10 million. Cheep, cheep at half the price if you ask me. ![]() Them being Brentford if it wasn't obvious.

Superb team effort today against a really strong and well balanced Brentford team.
Wells had the chances to put the game beyond them but is trying too hard, fluffing things and its good we can now throw Vaughan on to keep the competition within the squad at its peak, same for Wallace with a fit Gerrard warming up. Scanz was once again superb, Hogg gave protection and more balance that Poyet offered and Smithies was top drawer Robinson matched a very quick and skilful right wide man so it was a superb 3 points and I can see Brentford staying the course to be top 6 come May. I've bumped into a few Brentford fans on my travels and they think were a mini Leeds, there has been small incidents 'bullying' in the play off games and seen large town travelling support swamping their pubs at the return fixtures, the Bricklayers pub in particular that was always a haunt of theirs, typical loud town lot on the ale in London gettin larey if it doesnt go our way, no difference to Fulham n QPRse of late and thats without the flares of recent weeks! Important to get the win to jump back up the league and give us some impetus for the long trek to Norrich.
Looks like everyone has covered it pretty well. Great performance, when we got going, good tempo and intensity, good individual performances, good team performance, all very pleasing.
Wells, what's up with the lad? Doesn't seem to be able to hit a barn door at 5 paces? A lot of doubts over his ability to be a quality striker at this level. Looks to be short on a bit of self belief and confidence, needs a goal to get his mojo back. Managed to get one of these goal dust Rotherham tickets too!!

Town fans always do their best to look like a bunch of half-cut yobs whenever we play in london. Big day out, tonnes of beer and then the usual and stupid 'londons a s***hole I wana go home' chant for about half an hour. That chant can be funny in certain places but its laughable when we play teams like brentford, qpr etc and thats not just because I hail from it.

Thought yesterday was a great game of football all round, Brentford played some very quick one touch football and at times were a joy to watch. What Town did right yesterday though was up the work ethic and match the opposition, without that they would have steamrolled us.
Smithies was superb, pulling off great saves throughout the game, Jacob Butterfield seemed to be everywhere and came close IMO to beating Smithies for Man of the Match.

Looked good on the FLS this morning. Featured match. That doesn't happen often.
Why does Manish never get to sit in the studio on FA Cup weekends though? ![]()

if town were the featured match does that mean the town site will have more than 3 minutes of highlights on it
