Relegation six-pointer written all over that. Dire to watch, 0-0 the kind of result that would be bearable if we were at least winning our home games, but of course, we're not.
When the most positive thing you can say about a match is "we didn't lose to the worst team we've played all season", you're not heading anywhere good.

Irvine please just sod off. We are so dire its untrue. A point away from home is nowhere near acceptable but sadly means hes probably gonna stay nonetheless.

Never thought I'd say this, but if it meant Irvine getting the sack tonight I'd sooner have lost today.

What complete dull, uninspiring, negative dross.
Two really poor sides out there today, wouldn't surprise me if that's a
Championship game next season.
The glass half full brigade might say that "an away point is a good point"
but we don't win our home games, so an away draw isn't a good point.
Hull are poor, they were there for the taking, but we never committed any
men forward or had any ambitions of winning the game at all.
The likes of Sessegnon are ineffective because of the lack of support. Why
replace them with another similar player who is going to inevitably suffer
the same circumstances?
Why not replace a non entity like Dorrans and give Sess a run with another
forward thinker on the pitch together.
We saw on Tuesday that if you play the likes of Sessengon and Varela together,
the opposition have something to think about - it's impossible to double and triple
up on several players at once...
The style of play is unbearable to watch. We don't create anything from open
play. We don't play any football between the channels because there is a 40
yard gap between the forwards and midfield.
The fact we persist with 4 like minded centre mids, none of whom can beat a
man simply leads to dull, boring, predictable football.
It's been some years since I've seen a Baggies team so one dimensional.
And what's laughable is that I believe this is the best squad of my lifetime.
We are on a hiding to nothing with this manager. We will not create enough
chances to win the games that we need to stay up.

He even manages the subs wrong,
Varela on but Sess off
Our real only other attacking sort of midfielder (Gardner) is then taken off to allow Ideye a Paltry 9 Mins
Poor bloke what can he do with that amount of time on the pitch
Irvine out Now or we will suffer humiliation at the hands of our Neighbours
Just 2 points in front of Burnley, QPR level on points with us the vultures are circling

I think a loss today would have destroyed what ever confidence the team had left and even though it could have meant Irvine leaving which I know a lot of people want now, it would have made the Villa and QPR games even harder than they will be now.
We can take some positives from this draw such as the defence working well, McAuley played well and at times we did move the ball around well.
Villa is a big game now. If we lose that then the players confidence will be shot to pieces but a win will boost both player and fan morale and we can then look to tackling QPR before the visit of Man City.
I do agree with you guys that bringing Varela on for Sessegnon was the wrong change. Bringing off Gardner, Mulumbu or Morrison for Varela would have been a better switch and could have changed the course of the match.

if Irvine gets the sack we wont be any better off because downing and co will just be put in temp charge so no change really all 3 need to go if we going to move forward
