Our New Head Coach, Big Dave !!

One thing in BD s favour paradoxically is the rebuild; IMO this will benefit him in one huge way - he'll be able to chose players with the right attitude and determination, rather than trying to motivate players who couldn't give a shout for the club. The fact that he even seemed to manage THAT in the last 5 weeks is an absolute bonus Thumb up

So this looks like the reason we have heard nothing until now about our new number2
Never really heard of him, but being Belgium's coach he will do for me,
Now go get Hazard,Lukaku and De Bruine Laugh

That’s an interesting link. He played with Roberto Martinez and has been his Assistant at Swansea, Wigan and Everton and is currenly First Assistant Coach with Belgium.

It would explain the time taken to get an Assistant in. Maybe Big Dave has been waiting to talk to him before appointing anyone else.

What is the thoughts on Graeme Jones becoming Big Dave's assistant.
Would explain as to why the appointment was delayed?
It was never going to be early if it dependent upon Belgium being knocked out of tournament.
I'm guessing, he would want a break following the WC so announcement not as yet?
It may just be media gossip who knows?
Obviously DM and DJ have history and Chadli is another link?

Assistant Coach to the 3rd best national team in the world, or to a team just relegated to the Championship with an inexperienced Head Coach and no obvious signs of an exciting rebuild?
Hmmm. Quite a test of BD's persuasive powers, methinks
