Finally calmed down enough to comment on last night`s non event. What a load of rubbish. Momentum gone, winning streak gone, confidence knocked. Was going to have a beer with every goal England scored.... It was like watching Pulisball. Sideways, sideways, sideways, hoof. Oh well, book the flight home now. DD Angry Angry

Jesus If this is your out look on the tournament following one game where effectively we have come out with the better overall result then I bet your a laugh at parties!

Confidence knocked - played our second string and everyone knew it including Belgium
Momentum Gone - players involved aren't the ones with momentum - it was a nothing game, a training ground exercise at best
Sideways Sideways Sideways - Yes we lacked creativity - this would be an issue if it was our first team!

If people are seriously getting upset about last nights game, then turn off the rest of the tournament and dont tune in! If our World Cup hinges on last nights result, it will be for the positive that we are in the better round of the draw now.

Honestly, people want to be negative for the sake of it. Now that's the really boring thing!

Please excuse me for wanting my team to win rather than settle for 2nd place. IF they get to the final will they settle for 2nd there?

Yes, I'm pretty sure now for all the knockout games going forward, you can expect to see the same team that played last night, just for sh1ts and giggles.

if the loss created a doom and gloom atmosphere, I would agree, but it hasn't. It has resulted in a a more favorable route in the knockouts

England played for the loss, as did Belgium. Being as we got the result, you could say we actually won the game. Smile

You could say that as both teams wanted to lose and we did .... we are better at losing.

But then after 52 years of under achieving we had an unfair advantage ....... we have been practicing and perfecting that skill for generations Whistle Whistle

First major gamble of Southgate's reign. If we go on to make the semis, having taken what he obviously regards as the "easier" route, he gets hailed as a genius. If, on the other hand, Colombia smash us 3-0 on Tuesday night then the tabloids will be queuing up to stick the knife in.

France 4-3 Argentina at full time. A very enjoyable match with some great goals especially the Pavard and Di Maria strikes. I thought both teams were lacking in quality at times but individual talent shone through in the end and France thoroughly deserved the win.

Uruguay vs Portugal tonight.
