'Blood n thunder' stuff TBF. Talk about 'busting a gut' to survive against a decent Spanish team. Iran played very well but a deserved win for Spain all the same! That was a real 'battle'!

Well done to Iran for that showing. In the first half it was like watching West Brom under Tony Pulis but in the second half they showed more attacking intent and could have snuck a draw.

I really hope they can beat and knock out Portugal.

It wasn't one for the purists, but it kept you glued to it just in case Iran actually got a goal, which they probably deserved!! If Iran can replicate that against Portugal, then I can see them getting something out of it, but they will have to keep Ronaldo out of the game for the whole 90 mins.

Denmark and Australia drew 1-1 which is a fair result.

Now it is France vs Peru.

Vamos Peru.

So France bore their way to another win. With the talent at disposal they have been very poor.

As for Peru, they are now out but they have given it a good go and deserve a lot of credit for how they play.
