sorry to pi$$ on anyones parade
but that game was Pi$$ poor
ok they won it
but only just
Tunisia were piss poor
but if it takes an injury time goal to beat them then England are in trouble
i`m not anti England
but they created next to nothing
they will qualify
but on that performance no further than the quarter finals

It wasn't the best performance overall but Tunisia came to defend and spoil, and we struggled to get through them but we got the win, unlike in previous tournaments so that is a positive. Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Spain would all have taken a scrappy 2-1 win but all of them dropped points, so I'll take the three points we got today!!

Absolutely. This is exactly the kind of match we'd have drawn or lost in previous tournaments (think USA, Algeria, Costa Rica, Slovenia, Iceland...) and on another night, with our young players maybe a bit less nervous, we could have put away those early chances, not lost the momentum to a soft-as-shite penalty, been home and hosed by half-time. Circumstances and poor refereeing turned that into a harder game than it should have been, but we still came through, unlike years gone by.

A lot now hinges on the Panama performance. If we come out and play like we did first half, then we're in business; on the other hand, play like we did second half and we'll know it was a false dawn.

I thought we played well. Main issue for me is that we need more than one player actually able to bury their chances - just look at Sterling's sitters.

Oh, and don't put Young on free kicks - stick with Trippier.

I suggest he was sitting in the VAR room, all the good refereeing decisions so far and then for some strange reason when England turn up we get one dubious decision against us and two clear Rugby tackles in the box completely missed ... Strange ?
I heard people saying by the time the ball went out it was too late , yeah 20 odd seconds wow !!
Obviously didn't see the Swedish game when a less blatant penalty was spotted yet the play continued South Korea broke went up the other end had a shot blocked then guess what the play was stopped for VAR,
I think England played great in the first half better than any World Cup for Years, If the VAR had worked as it should we would have had 2 penalties, we missed four open goals to my knowledge yet people still nit pick, second half was more England like but lets face it Tunisia put everybody behind the ball, time wasted yet England kept going till the end,Well played guys Thumb up
Will we win the cup .. No we will be picked off at the back by better teams if we fanny about with the Ball like that in our own half, Chances at this level must be taken and I agree Sterling is not the Sterling that plays for Man City, How he gets his legs tangled up in front of goal like that heavens knows,
I cant remember a good game he has had for England actually,
Stii its a promising start in adversity, How Tunisia ended up with 11 men on the pitch was also baffling Huh

Since the World Cup began, I’ve been looking forward to seeing Colombia in action. They were very impressive 4 years ago and they have been evolved since then with a younger defence, more complete players in Juan Cuadrado and James Rodriguez and a change in system to 4231.

As for England it was a good start to the tournament but I’m still not convinced by the 352 formation. Last night 3 centre backs against 2 false nines was a waste of resources in my opinion.
Beefy, Sweden played South Korea.
