Understand #avfc bosses refused to pay £20k for squad suits for Play Off Final at Wembley coz of financial worries. Also persuaded #burnley to make an early payment on an Ashley Westwood instalment that was due, so that they could pay May’s wages for staff and players. See #ssn

Oy Villa. We would like the £2 million you still owe us for James Chester NOW! Otherwise we might not get it when HMC wind you up! Pay or we'll take you away!

Aston Villa will hold talks over their financial problems this week, with the Championship club facing a £4.5m tax and wages bill later this month and under pressure to reduce their wage bill by £15m. (Sunday Telegraph) DD Big Grin Big Grin

Maybe I'm not a proper fan. I really cannot understand the malevolence between fans of local clubs.
I don't particularly like Villa, Wolves or Blues but I wish them well. I feel sorry for Villa that they have missed out. Like us their fan will be disappointed and it's not a nice feeling. I hope Wolves can make their mark in the PL.

SOTV - we all know what the acronym stands for. I guess most, if not all of us, will have friends who support other local clubs. We might pull one another's legs in banter but "shit on them", really?

Personally I would rather, if you have spare excrement, to donate it to the thousands of scumbags in our area who do NOT support the teams of the region. Brummies who follow Arsenal but have never been to the Emirates. Black country who follow Man United on the TV.

Cut some slack to anyone in this region who supports their local club. They're the salt of the earth, in my book.

Alouion, you make very good point about plastic fans, glory Hunters, Liverpool in the eighties, switched to manure, then Chelsea, then Man citeh ......

However I do love to see vile and the dingles in the brown stuff, I take great pleasure in their pain and great pain in their pleasure. I take your point that they support local teams but the vile, the dingles, come on, really. I have no malice or ill well towards, blues, Walsall, Coventry, Shrewsbury or Telford but the vile, the dingles, come on, really.

Years of abuse from seals when they dominated Midlands football, black and gold, enough said ......

I will continue to hate the vile although my hatred of the dingles has mellowed to a dislike of them ..... after our recent dominance of the BCD.

I've spent some very pleasurable moments perusing some Vile websites in the last week and their arrogance is astounding. "In the unlikely event we don't get promotion in the next 2 years", " we were better than 20 teams in this division last year and will be better than them next year", "we can attract players other teams can't","we will be a big draw for players next year", " we're going up next year and no play offs" - all this after the announcement that they're on the verge of bankruptcy.
Hate is too strong a word, but I will be very, very happy to see them and their high pitched, flipper slapping fans, sink into oblivion.

They say that ignorance is bliss - no wonder so many people are happy.
