The news that Celtic have lifted the Scottish Cup confirms that Hibs will be in the 1st round Europa League draw and IMO deservedly so! I wonder who we will draw?

So pleased for the club. We deserved some reward for our play this season.

Well deserved reward for the season you have had. Now you need to at least go a few rounds and improve Scottish clubs record in Europe!!

The players and the fans will enjoy European football coming back to Easter Road and we have thoroughly merited our success.
Some of our older supporters, like myself, will recall the nights when we welcomed teams like Real Madrid,Juventus,Barcelona and managing to beat them all at some time. It`s amazing what a few wins against European opposition can do for the teams confidence and how it can impact on domestic form. Exciting times ahead-possibly

Hamburg, Napoli, Leeds Utd, Malmo, Liverpool, Oporto - a huge list of memorable nights. My only concern is the distraction that Euro footie can incur on Hibs domestic form.

The Europa League draw will take place on 19 June and it will be interesting to see who we play. 1st round quali matches to be played on 12 Jul and 19 July 2018.

0762.
In days past we played European matches but it didn`t distract us from domestic competition but it is now a very different set of circumstances. Back in the 60`s and 70`s there were no qualifying rounds and games were played on a Wednesday night with sometimes a month or 6 weeks between rounds. I can remember Hibs getting into the quarter finals of "The inter Cities Fairs Cup" and only beating 4 teams on the way there. Today we will have a minimum of 2 qualifying rounds (4 matches) and if we are fortunate to get past that into the group stages (6 matches) before we reach the serious stuff. Like you suggest that probably would provide a distraction for our lads.
I think if we get past the first qualifier we`ll have done well, any more than that is a bonus.
