Everton on the beach, sadly. Fifteen minutes + stoppage time for them to pull their finger out.

OMG equaliser in the 95th minute, don't think my heart can take much more of this.
Thank you and also xxxx you Everton.
Does this mean that we can still stay up on the final day as long as Southampton and Swansea draw in midweek and they both lose next Sunday whilst we win?

As a neutral I have to feel for Southampton, they scrapped and battled for everything against in insipid Everton who really deserved nothing from the game!!!! Suppose it was always going to take a deflected goal to get Everton something out of this!!!
Good for you guys though, if Soton and Swansea draw you will go to the final day of the season with a chance to stay up, no one would have believed that if you had said it 5 weeks ago!!!

Yes Josh... that's exactly what it means ....
Midweek saints swans draw Man city beat saints Stoke beat swans We beat palace All three finish on 34 points .... then goal difference between us and saints

We've got a goal difference advantage over Swansea, but not Southampton as things stand, and Saints also have the better of us on goals scored, so even if the midweek fixture is a draw and Stoke beat Swansea, we'd need a five-goal turnaround between our match and Southampton's on final day. 2-0 to us and 3-0 to Man City would do it, for instance. All highly improbable, but enjoy the rollercoaster ![]() "I would rather spend a holiday in Tuscany than in the Black Country, but if I were compelled to choose between living in West Bromwich or Florence, I should make straight for West Bromwich." - J.B. It's good they play stoppage time, eh?

Probably got this wrong, but even if one of Swansea or Southampton lose on Tuesday, if that team loses again on Sunday and we win, we're also safe ......aren't we?
So if this is right, all's not lost if it's NOT a draw on Tuesday?? NURSE?! !!!

Sorry to burst your bubble Drewks but no, you need to overtake both of them to avoid relegation so it has to be a draw for you to have any chance!! If one team wins you can finish above the losing team but that would just be for the final relegation spot. |
