Apparently Alec and Carol who are pictured below the article are current favourites to take over.
Failing Alec and Carol I'd rather we head-hunted somebody. I'll chuck in a serious name to pinch too - Simon Weaver, manager of Harrogate Town. He's 40. They are in the play-offs for The Conference, he's been in and around good level non-league for years. Ex centre back I imagine he's a pretty tough cookie. We did steal our best manager in recent years after all. We've done worse things in the last few years.

I would imagine every manager at a smaller club who has punched above their weight is worth looking at Dev.
We are in a position to headhunt one of these managers but who on earth in the club is capable of selecting the right man to go for .

Only thing is Blue that implies ..... is there anyone capable of sorting out the 30 applicants? How will they make their shortlist? Will only names they've heard on Final Score be considered? Will that rule out all promising non-league managers? Does that mean we get some old has-been? Would an old has-been be a bad idea? Maybe we need an old has-been to deal with the chaos behind the scenes. An old has-been doesn't seem to have done too badly for Crystal Palace.

Matt Jansen? Too flashy?
He's maybe. Maybe somebody at Chesterfield has heard of him. Seems to have the same approach to Delial Brewster as us - try to forget about him.

Apparently we are relying on the expertise of two ex players to sort the wheat from the chaff .Then the final decision will be DA's.That implies there will be no takeover .

The 2 players are probably Jason Lee and Ebanks Blake.

Well if your house might possibly fetch £250,000 but you were desperate to sell you might well advertise it at £235,000. If you weren't that bothered about going but would consider it if someone fell in love with the place, you'd put it on at maybe £275,000.
If you really want to sell a rubbish football club with a nice new ground you probably wouldn't ask a price that might buy a club getting promotion from Division One. So as ever that leaves us with the pretty permanent question of what does DA really want and where does he want to go with Chesterfield. The question of wheat and chaff sounds easy, but our problem seems to be getting players that blend together to make a team that is more than its individual parts. Neither Macclesfield, nor Lincoln have gone up packed with lots of better players than their opponents. They both had some good players, but it is how they performed together that made them what they were. It seems to me its not that our players actually can't play, it's that together they don't combine, or bring together all the attributes necessary to make a team opponents fear. You never come up with a team full of fast players, or strong players, or astute players, or big players ........... but these are valuable attributes within a team and within the last two seasons we often seem to have lacked most of them. To win regularly you have to be able to threaten the opposition and to cancel out their attacking efforts and we've been very poor on both counts. I reckon we need to keep players we can afford who will become the basis of a new team. 21 goals put Dennis top of the wheat ley category ...... but despite his poaching we were relegated by a country mile and he is our only saleable asset. I reckon we need to sell him and find more effective ways for the team to score goals. The trouble is that history suggests the fee we receive will be irrelevant, because it will disappear; we might as well be releasing him to become a free agent if the team doesn't benefit.

He wanted to take us to the Championship and then sell it.
