Ooh good heavens! Just seen a replay of the sending off. Hogg got lucky there. Could've had his career ended there.

Completely justified sending off!! Not saying there was any malice in it but its the way his leg is high, studs first and most importantly completely extended, which means his leg didn’t flex when he made contact with Hogg and that is what could’ve caused serious damage!!

Ince hit the post with a header from one of the only crosses that came in head high. Most needed a step ladder to attack. Mounié had a shot pushed onto the cross bar from one of the few crosses to come in that was shot high. Beyond that we had 28 more shots that troubled kids with ice creams more than their keeper. Your point about Ince is?

Ince holds on to the ball too long deciding whether to pass or shoot. He makes the decision to turn when not necessary, I can forgive that due to his work rate. But atm his composure and confidence is shot. His reluctance to use his right foot is unreal, lolley got shed loads for being all left foot but it seems like ince is following suit big time. We played the overload and overlap but our wingers offered nothing turning down blind alleys
There was something in the paper the other week from paul ince saying how he and thomas discuss games as a manager and player and at times it looks like thomas tries to do what his dad has advised over his actual manager. If you feel I have no reason to be annoyed at ince there so be it, but at this stage of the season you look at his shot to goal ratio and add in assists, there appears to be something lacking big time and you have to question whether it is in his mental process or if it is technique

I've calmed down a bit now, but I still feel that tom ince hasnt delivered what we expected.
But I really don't know where I stand with van la parra. He gets stick and its games like today and performances today that put the rod on his back. Come summer if we stay up we will need a winger and it'll be he that will miss out

They played exactly as we have attempted to do against the big six. Difference being, they played it far better than we ever have. It was a classic example of how playing against ten, can create its own problems when that team pretty much forfeits any attacking play, and just packs out the defence. Considering the possession we had, we only really troubled them twice. Lumping the ball into the box from the wings, when there is at least twice as many defenders than attackers in there, then, unless those crosses are accurately targeted, and yesterday they simply weren't, then it's not surprising the end result. When it's not working, you change it. We didn't. And got what we got. Not a disaster. I predicted a draw, and am reasonably happy with the point, albeit in circumstances that, had we got more attacking quality in our ranks, would have pocketed all three. Palace will be different. They will attack. And hopefully that will play a little more into our hands. Here's hoping anyway!

so frustrating yesterday
So many poor decisions in and around the box, lack of confidence to shoot and test their keeper, poor crosses, taking off Mooy & Pritch who are most likely to pick a lock mind blowing, subbing LDP way too late as Ince had another one of his frustrating games, I'd even have kept VLP on sacrified a centre half even. Malone's miss, Flo's yellow card could easily have been red, the terrible lino our side at their free kicks not giving off side. Around me folk going mad at their time wasting but it was a thoroughly professional team performance from the Swans who defended rigidly and slowed it down whenever they could pushing the boundaries to tick the clock down. 2 points lost but not end of the world with just one gained, just heaps a whole lot more on to next week when Palace will offer a mix of pace and power now all their big guns are starting to recover from injury - typical. Shooting practice this week me thinks.

I disagree about Swansea's performance being professional. I think they were garbage. No ambition whatsoever. It's only one man less. How many times have we been beaten by 10 men?
They should've brought Abraham on at half time and gone for broke. Hit us on the break while we commit men forward. They're playing little Huddlesfield for feck sake, not Man City! ![]()

No surprise the way Carvalhal set up Swansea. His Wendies sides were only slightly more adventurous against us with 11 men. They would have tried to hit us on the break with 11, but the buses would still have been well and truly parked for most of the game.
It's another point nearer to the target.
