Hibs v Hearts, Fri 9 Mar, KO 7.45pm
#1
Hibs have had a handy wee break preceding this confrontation v Hertz and I'm sure the legions of Hibs fans will be swarming in to ER to hopefully see the Cabbage n Ribs mete out some 'payback' to a Hearts side that looks like it has lost it's talisman, Berra, due to a concussion injury that renders him unavailable under the safety regs governing head injuries in sport. Hence, I'm expecting a hi-press attacking plan from Lenny and possibly a good 'hiding' for Potter and his team esp after Hibs unlucky Scot Cup exit to them. We are playing well and I'm sure Potter's negative tactics will be in full view again. C'mon Hibs!

A win makes european football a certainty IMO. With the added bonus of ramming it firmly up the dens park bottler's bahookie.

Make it happen hibs!

I notice Potter still 'banging on' about a 'virtual' natural order although the press definitely instigators in reminding him of his stupid comment! He is definitely a manager from another time zone and 'looking for an audience' matches up to his arrogant persona. Meanwhile Lenny not getting embroiled in this 'nonsense' and focusing on Hibs positive progress this season and 'being in a good place' at the current time.

Lennon has won countless trophies as player and manager, even away from celtic.

Levein has won what ? The derby is more important to potter, always has been cos it's the only measure of success he has had in his career.

Their season is virtually over,so I expect them to be fired up and aggressive the night. Important we stay calm if we are to win.

Well Killie just took up their 5th place in the league. Will they even hold on to 6th position eh because they are not that good!?

The only trouble is that their measure of success this season will depend on this game. They can be good, but nowhere often enough and their best results, with one notable exception, have been when they have been dour and boring, a bit like Levein himself. If we play up to our usual standards, we have nothing to fear from this Hearts team.

This match now 'sold oot' - should be a great atmosphere tonight and hopefully the guys will 'rise to the occasion' in front of this huge Hibs support! Thumb up

FT 2-0 and the chant ARE YOU WATCHING CRAIG LEVEIN booming from the Hibs stands + a huge green n white banner draped across the FF Stand - NATURAL ORDER?!! Great stuff! Thumb up As for the game, it looked like a typical frenetic Derby match until the 2nd half when a 'touch of class' and commitment gave Hibs 'the edge' to win it and GIRU Potter. What a cracking goal by Scotty Allan to put Hibs ahead and delighted for Maclaren esp after his previous magnificent strike that cannoned off the Hertz crossbar with Mclaughlin well beaten. This time he persisted and 'skinned' four Hertz defenders to seal that well deserved 2-0 victory! Thumb up Well done and that is us 12 pts ahead of them with a 'game in hand' but, more importantly, 1 pt behind the Dons! What a great night with Hibs sell out crowd in buoyant mood, a great atmosphere. Good tactics by Lenny who is definitely well suited to managing Hibs. Lastly, I'm not a fan of the ref, Bobby Madden, but IMO he did OK tonight and tried to keep the game flowing as much as poss.

Bloody 'ell 0762, did you just praise a ref!!!! the euphoria of a derby win must be messing with your head!!!

Great win guys!! Forget about those below you now and focus on the teams above. Puts pressure on Aberdeen to first win their game in hand and then because they can't screw up anymore games themselves.
