You couldn't make this up.
DA tells Toby they have shaken hands on an offer ,meanwhile Mike Warner is telling the AGM no one has come forward with an offer .

Thanks Matt.
Strange, I don't remember anyone being particularly anti-Saunders until his team started to fall apart before our eyes .... and he didn't seem to have an idea what to do about it.
Strange view of Danny, first for having saved us and then being starved of investment & continuing to struggle until we did the dirty on him to bring in a more complete idiot.
It doesn't give you much faith in the future does it?
And of course DA can't put anyone out of their house into a tent without taking legal action ....... and then the whole story would come out wouldn't it? So hasn't the man with a tent in his future got DA over a barrel?

The only hope for the future is if DA sells .He has shown he is not up to running the club .Its no good him complaining he has to put money into the club, its his fault ! His appointments and decisions have been piss poor over the last 3 years .

Well rumour going around he is selling to a consortium to someone called Reg Brearley and Brian Deane.

He would probably score a few more than COG, so well worth consideration, he's only in his late 40's isn't he?
Why do we always end up with either Wednesdays or Uniteds outcasts and rejects?
It's strongly rumoured that Allen turned down an offer from a Swedish consortium of £10mill and a Local (Chesterfield) Group for a similar figure, then the Chinese deal which was scuppered again for a similar figure but it seems he is now going ahead with a pay as you run agreement with a group of dodgy dealers.
I say pay as you run because I can see them running away when they realize a certain Casino holder has them by the bollocks and isn't going to let go. Why take a hit on your investment (even if some of it is alleged to be fraudulent) when you can get some mugs to take over the day to day running with a long term promise of share / loan repayments.
A nice little clause that in the event of failure to meet said agreed payments when due results in an all bets off return to the original owner and Bobs your Uncle. They run off with their tails between their legs and with one spin of the roulette wheel a certain major player has had few grand in his pocket and still holds all the aces. Clever eh!.
No wonder the Chinese deal was scuppered.
When the club ends up stuck (literally) in the lower echelons of the Evo Stick Northern Premier League Div 1 our lord and paymaster can just blame even more "others" for our demise. It will make a change from blaming the fans.

I was surprised when AC said that DA was a difficult man to deal with (no shit Sherlock) and they try to keep him out of the limelight.I was led to believe AC was a lapdog so come out and openly criticise him was not expected.
I also am of the opinion that there are no shenanigans going off with the current incumbents, just incompetence and bad decision making .

I think this goes to illustrate why Matt needn't have worried about us libeling or slandering anyone to do with the club. The ultimate aim or any underlying sense concerning the running and/or the sale of the club are/is so convoluted we could defend whatever we said as apparently true. As a mere supporter you could place DA and AC anywhere on the scale between St Francis of Assisi and the spawn of Beelzebub and find apparent evidence to support your opinion ..........
Why we are where we are is one of the mysteries of the universe. There is no need for things to be as they are. As far as I can see DA could have made himself loved and still raked in profits from Chesterfield, but accidentally, or deliberately, for reasons as yet unknown, he has chosen the opposite path. When he tired of us he could have been selling a saleable item, instead we only seem any use as a money-laundering operation. As things are it can only be a matter of time before a few dead Russians turn up on Beetwell Street.
Whether any of the know-alls on Bob's with their insider info' or cooked-up conspiracy theories really get it I don't know, but they certainly helped to drive me away.
It is probably better to take a simpler view. Saturday we NEED to beat Lincoln and gain ground on Morecambe, Port Vale, Grimsby and Crewe. Losing would be more than a nail in the coffin, it'd be the opening hymn and the Vicar describing how everybody loved us!
Long-term Crewe might be well-advised to go into liquidation immediately. Their board seem to be burying their heads in the goalmouth all the way to their armpits over the Bennell affair. The last thing I want to see is them going out of business, but if many of their abused former juniors take legal action against the club they are surely history??????
