Sparky confirmed out for 4 weeks with a calf injury; Craig Gordon also out for 12 weeks with a knee injury and Rodgers already looking for additional cover in the transfer market before the transfer deadline! So Hearts poss have a reasonable chance of extending their unbeaten run. However, Celtic's playing squad is still strong with the return of Roberts and Rogic almost imminent and well timed for the 'business end' of the season + Europa League participation. Also Rodgers may well use an element of 'retribution', and reference to their embarrassing defeat at Tynecastle when the Hoops didnae 'turn up', to demand a positive, hi-press response from the team. It would not surprise me if the Hoops not only win this game but dish out a 'thrashing'. I notice Rodgers is in the process of signing the Chelsea forward Charly Musonda, who is a terrific young player, needs the requisite development at this stage of his career and has been a target of quite a few UK and Euro footie clubs - an 18 month proposed deal and he could well be playing against Hearts tomorrow night! Hearts had better hope he 'does not hit the ground running'!

If Celtic perform like they did on saturday hertz have a live chance. Dembele looked noticeably heavier when he came on and although they moved the ball around well they were like hibs....lacking in goal threat.
Musonda? He's fast as xxxx and very tricky but not a goal scorer.

Celtic were outplayed by Hearts in their last meeting and will be wary this time around. Not many teams get a result against Celtic especially on their home turf and Rogers will have his team well aware of the embarrassment caused at Tynecastle during their last encounter. We can`t write Hearts off but the hoops will be going all out to even up the score.

Yep! Tactical awareness will be 'key' in this match and Rodgers will adjust accordingly and motivate his players by referring to their surprise 'failure' at Tynecastle! I suspect a lotta Hearts players will be 'bracing themselves' for a major assault on their goal. They have been thrashed at Celtic Park on a number of previous occasions and avoiding that extreme outcome will be a test in its own right esp for a team and manager boasting a decent unbeaten record.

Aye! Celtic's pitch condition is incomparable with the 'potato patch' that Hearts are presenting to opponents at the PBS!
Also Rodgers in for Motherwell goalie, Trevor Carson, to cover the Hoops' goalie position. However, a £200k bid initially rejected - watch this space!

One of Potter's comments today on SSN with reference to that win v Celtic at Tynecastle - 'the pitch was in great condition'!!!!????? What a dishonest person this man is!!!! 'Call a spade a spade' FFS Levein and show a wee bit honesty or is that beyond your capacity as a football person!!?

The hosts looking very much 'in the mood'.

A 'thrashing' on the cards!?
