WBA vs Brighton - Match Thread

It seems half a lifetime ago since Albion visited the south coast with confidence high, having made a good solid start to the season. The wheels came off that day at the Amex, and despite any number of pit-stops since, we haven't managed to get them back on again.

The sad fact is that we're running out of chances to do so. By any measure, Saturday's match against Brighton has to be considered a must-win fixture if we're to stay alive in the relegation battle. Not that it'll be easy in the slightest, but we can only hope that last week's FA Cup win - though nervier than it should have been - has injected a dose of confidence into our struggling side.

Of course, in happier times we were able to throw the kitchen sink at "the other Albion" and come out on top. Where's Andy Hunt when you need him?

Not them pathetic things they use at Leicester?!
Oh, shit!
How f***ing obnoxious!!!
Hope we lose, and get relegated, and they ban me from the ground for life.

I'm really p****d off about the clappers. I can picture a Board Meeting after last week's League game.....

"This Brighton game is absolutely critical and pivotal".
"Yeh. We really need the 12th man for this one - you know the mutes in the Brummie Road waking up and getting behind the team. What do you say, Mr.Williams?"
"Well, since I've been here I don't know if it's the players they hate, Pulis they hated, or me..... Oi, Marketing boys, get this crowd back on our side - we need them for the Brighton game! Any suggestions.....quick, come on. We pay you b*****s enough!"
"Er....Paper clappers, Sir?"
"Not those pathetic childish things they use at Leicester?! Grown men clapping those f***ing things?"
"They did win the League, Boss"
"Well, if that's the best you can think of, you're sacked. Order 25,000 pronto! Better still, get Chadli and Morrison making 'em out of old unsold programmes. I was thinking more putting loudspeakers under the seats, but that might bugger up my Cash Flow Bonus."
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Paper clappers Doh
Our friends from Huddersfield have them as well
I commented they really don't sound right in a football ground YUK Sick

Back to the game
This really is a must win I have no doubt
Yes we have said it before but if we don't win this time then we are down
No disrespect to Brighton but if we don't get three points after this many times of asking for a must win, we deserve to be relegated Sad

100% agree beef, we have to win or we are down. There aren’t many teams in this league that I can see us beating now but this is one.

I’d suggest a starting line-up but I no longer care what it is, whoever starts needs to defend well, create chances or take them. No more chances, no more opportunities, this is where the great escape II has to start if it is going to.

Plastic clappers is so bush League. It's pathetic for a Premier League to have them. Doh

As for the match, it doesn't matter if it's a 1-0 Pulis-esque win or a 3-0 romp, we need to xxxx win.

I really never thought we'd sink to the level of plastic clappers. Hated them the first time I heard them (Fulham/Norwich to blame in the Premier League), and when it became a trend I was glad we shunned it.

Someone have a word, for God's sake.

If it helps get a result tomorrow, I don't give a toss what they do, we need everything we can literally get our hands on! Cant help thinking tomorrow's match is literally the biggest of the season so far, if we cant beat Brighton at home with their away record and a slight improvement in confidence after Exeter and were at home, then we seriously are f*****.
I still genuinely believe as I have been saying to those around me, I think we are down, little has suggested otherwise despite a marked improvement under Pardew. It kills me seeing the dingles finally turn up to the party and were leaving out the back door before its getting started, these things are cyclical and unfortunately our stay at the party may just be little overdue. I hope i'm wrong but i'm feeling very flat when it comes to the Albion at the moment and have very little apathy for them or the game right now.

Please prove me wrong and show us you care and start moving up that league, I cant believe were one of the 3 worst teams in the league, but it doesn't lie and games are running out fast.

Onetrue that pretty much sums up me as well right now ...... when Brighton got promoted this was one game I was looking out for, my mates a seagull and I was going to arrange going with him but I can not be asked right now, haven't been all season and struggling to see when I will attend again ......... the poor football, do not lose at any cost, no entertainment fare has driven me away .... Hoping the situation will improve soon but as they keep saying in the adverts "when the fun stops .... stop"
