Better get used to the idea, we're going down quicker than a Thai hooker and the Dingle's are replacing us. Sorry to disagree with the delushioned on here, but what improvement are you seeing? Still got strikers who can't score, midfielders who can't create and a manager who has no chance of turning the dross we have into premier league players.

A bit precious, Val.

Yes TS I am precious and if you're a reasonable person please allow me to retort... firstly I have a very close friend who has glaucoma and could lose her sight in the near future. She is terrified about that prospect and the routine she has to go through every day to be able to hang on to her eyesight is pretty stressful and uncomfortable as well as time consuming, secondly my father has just been through invasive eye surgery that hasn't really worked so I have to read things to him now which stresses him out and makes him miserable and is very upsetting to witness I could elaborate on this but I don't have the time or energy. My point being just because all we see on this forum is letters and numbers typed out doesn't mean there isn't a person behind all of us with their feelings and life's issues and dishing out personal insults to each other
over social media just happens to stick in my claw and I don't appreciate being called F***** blind because I was angry and miserable about the continuation of our results emulating those under TP. Yes the football has changed a bit but were still losing to those in and around us stoke west ham swansea and last night in particular was my personal breaking point. Somethings wrong at our club and AP cannot seem to produce what the likes of allardyce moyes and hodgson have started to do at their respective clubs and somehow i don't see us attracting anyone that's going to sign for a club that's sinking like a stone especially in January We all know proven strikers are like gold dust so I don't share the enthusiasm of others that believe we will attract that calibre of player in our current position in January? Does anyone truly believe we will do that and reach 40 points given the way things are with this management set up and group of players? Sorry but i don't and that really is what I believe.

The gap is starting to open up BUT there are still other teams around us. 3 from bottom 8 at least. Keep believing because that’s all we can do at present.

I honestly didn't see anything yesterday to suggest an improvement in football, Phillips pulls out, we have Burke there to do a straight swap but put Livermore in instead? What the actual was that!

We've looked good in a couple of games I admit but he should be finding ways to win, that's what he's paid to do.

I'm not too bothered about going down, in fact I relish a league where it's competitive. We'll be fine, who gives one if we ain't premier league? It's f'ing boring.

He’s trying to change the mentality of the players and give them belief. Pulis has harangued them for so long about defend defend defend. In the end we couldn’t do it but we didn’t attack either. We are now attacking and trying to win. Thank god for that.

I would rather get relegated trying to play football and win than the utter shite served up by Putrid Pulis.

This run belongs to one man & one man only!
The players we have are (generally) good at what they do but Pulis bought no-one with creativity, guile or that scores goals. All he cared about was that they worked aard!
Hard work only gets you so far, cheers Tony, this is your mess!

I still believe if we sell Evans for £20m and add 30/40m, we can get players who will make a difference. After all we have young players and experience in the team to make that difference - the next month will be crucial.

Not sure how anyone was supposed to know about your friend's and Fathers condition. Back to football. Did you really expect to rock up at another prem club and take away 3pts just because we need them? West Ham need points as much as we do and they were the home team. Expect them to roll over or are you suggesting that we should be beating the likes of West Ham at their place?

I’d have to agree tidy, yes west ham have been very poor recently but of late they seem to have turned a corner (most teams seem to just before they play us) for us to be in the game as long as we were was encouraging. There are signs that we can get out of this mess but if we don’t turn it around soon we are done for, in most seasons that would already be the case but somehow it seems that there are 8/9 teams that are just as bad! It was clear to see that the players were dead on their feet towards the end of the game which begs one of two things, firstly is it a fair contest when one team has a full week off and the other has 2 days? Secondly, after having the ‘best’ transfer window in a long time is our squad still so thin that we can’t even contemplate rotating?

The first point, unfortunately this is the state of football now, it very much reminds me of the film rollerball (not sure if anyone has seen it, it’s pretty bad but the message stands) where the league sells its soul for money, the safety of players and all else is forfeit for the masses excitement and the money flooding the game. Sound familiar? This is why I’m not actually bothered if we go down, the premier league just reminds me of the promised land that all other teams are told they have to get to, then once they do, they find out its poison and no better than before.

The second point and this is more the state of our club, what the hell has happened to our squad? It seems yet again so thread bare its untrue after supposedly filling in all the cracks? The due diligence work seems so poor and general scouting seems poor, saying that though Hagazi and Gibbs for me has been our best players this year and so credit to getting those in but on the flip side, we almost break our transfer record on Burke and haven’t seen him, we’ve gone as far as recalling Leko before playing him. Is he that bad that Livermore is a better option at RW? Poor.

Well, onto Brighton and the Cup let’s hope we can get some confidence by smashing Exeter and get the ball rolling to Brighton which is now a must win game to see us not go down.

Yep, it is a mystery how we have, once again, managed to get ourselves such a small squad especially when most people claimed, in the summer, that this was the best squad seen at the Albion for decades.
I also don't fear relegation and have been thoroughly peed off with the 'bright lights' of the Prem for a while. I look forward to having some purpose to our football with a tangible target to aim for rather than this obsession with floating around the lower/middle of the Prem just making up the numbers.
We'll be ok with the parachute payments and perhaps it will do the Club good to regroup and rethink the way forward.

I'll add as well, West ham having played us just 2 days previous, went to Spurs and almost won. Puts our effort at London Stadium into proper perspective. We didn't do too bad, however, still gutting that we conceded again at the death.
