Put this on Bobs board let them have a feed .

What I dont understand is the difference between this and the other money DA has been putting in on a monthly basis.Probably the size of the loan I guess or a change of tack by DA ,with the money being paid back buy new owners ?.

Also why is DA putting money in if we prepared our budget on gates of only 5k as per AC's statement? It was also stated we were very close to the FFP limit so this is very strange.

Sounds like he's puts the money in so we can strengthen the squad and then when the deal is done he will probably claim it back. That's what I would do anyway.

As far as FFP is concerned ,does a loan count as income so therefore increase the revenue ? Not sure .
How do clubs like Wigan ,Mansfield and Fleetwood have budgets which are seemingly much higher than the revenue through the gates ? because the owner funds them but I dont know what form this funding takes .

Fleetwood I do know. The owner has offices at Fleetwoods ground and the club charge him a fantastically high rent for them. Thus he puts money in the club that goes in as takings. Wigan and Mansfield I have no idea but its probably something similar.
Rules - what rules, theres always a way round them.

Thanks for that Matt ,so a loan isnt included in turnover which suggests we arent up to the FFP limit.Otherwise we are in the sh.it .Unless the loan is being used for something else .

Not sure what you are saying Blue. We can only spend 55% of income on player wages. You can spend whatever you want on fees etc but we still cant spend any more on wages.

Well if thats the case,we may be paying fees which means our approach has changed ,DA's policy has always been not to pay fees .Does this change of tack suggest new owners behind it ? I know its DA's money but it may be a temporary arrangement .
Then again why would DA loan money if new owners were coming in ? Surely the new owners would fund it ?
Im going round in circles here .

If your head is spinning Blue, mine's past meltdown.

Trouble is I was brought up by a dad who'd have said if it sounds dodgy it almost certainly is. And if you're wondering if you can get away with it then you shouldn't be doing it.

Where business meets sport you can't be a bit corrupt without entirely destroying the ethics and point of sport. The whole point is to play fair and see who wins. Once you bend the rules out of shape or make finance more important than play on the field, you're lost. Business can't seem to help itself, the outskirts of criminality seem so attractive and profitable.

The whole of professional football is lost, it's just that some of it is deeper in the jungle than the rest. We seem trapped deep in the heart of darkness, we can't tell the lianas from the snakes and we don't know the way out, or the way ahead. And the guide we foolishly trusted turned out to be a gambler, a liar and a cheat. If it turns out he's going to pass us over to a new guide, why on earth would we trust him?
