Well I guess we can't complain about a lack of pace, apart from the pedestrian midfield. A bold move playing Burke and McLean...good for Pardew. I think we needed something unexpected and I reckon we've got it. Just got to win now Big Grin

A goal would be good!

Bugger.
Got to give Rom credit for a cracking header and even more so his respect for West Brom with barely celebrating.

In the words of the great Garth Crooks:

"I don't think we're going to win this one"

Got excited when I heard Barry was coming on. But not for Yacob! Does Liversalts pay to play?

Have to agree, Livermore is a waste of a shirt.

s/b a penalty!

I'm getting fed up of excuses for Rondon. Put through by Brunt he had a great chance, but passed it straight to de Gea.

A g-g-g-g-goal!!!!!!!!!!!
1-2
Boing Boing (remember that?)

Much much much better 2nd half. Who'd have thought at 1/2 time one of Mourinho's boys would be yellow-carded for timewasting!

Disappointing result but much better showing. Absolutely a penalty on McLean, but that said although you can't fault his effort he is a headless chicken. Brunty and Barry made a difference, Burke looked promising and hegazi was good again.
There is a good team there somewhere, but still a few too many not up to it. Hopefully pardew recognises who needs replacing sooner rather than later.

Good effort and unlucky not to get a point. As much as I admire his enthusiasm, McClean brings nothing to the team and in fact is a liability defensively. Crossing, passing and creative vision is not Premier League standard.

Hegazi was again superb and very unlucky with the deflection. Their first was luckily getting possession but a very good finish by Lukaku.  Thought McClean was fouled by the ex seal and we should have had a penalty but Man Ure are a BIG club and rarely get penalties awarded against them.

Wonder what our striker situation would have been if we had persevered with Kemar Roof and Chris Wood..... Pulis didn't like goalscorers who venture into the opposition half.
