Hibs v Celtic, Sun 10 Dec, KO 12.30pm

Hibs return to ER to take up the challenge of being the next Scottish footie club to attempt to end Celtic's unbeaten domestic record, now sitting at 67 games. IMO we will need to play better than observed in recent home matches but we are equipped to win this match with Lady Luck favouring us a wee bit - the guys need to 'show up' to have any chance all the same! And what is Lenny's best tactical line up to give us a decent chance of victory? The Hoops have just lost to Anderlecht in their last CL group match. So this could be a good time to play them when they are at their most vulnerable. However, Brendan Rodgers has a wealth of player talent at his disposal and he'll 'freshen up' his team if required. It won't be easy!

Really looking forward to this, got my ticket. Think it will be a cracking game and i think lennon will have the team pumped up for this one.

They tend to play better away from home for some reason, i watched them completely take aberdeen to pieces in the first half after a european tie so i don't think last night will have that much of an effect.

Like you say we will need a slice of lady luck to get the win.

we have dropped points after European games
If we are going to lose our record I'm happy its lenny that has a great chance to do it

still I predict a 2-1 will for Glasgow's Green and White

A great chance for our boys to measure themselves against the best Scotland has to offer I am quite confidant that we can take something from this game and even a draw would boost our confidence for the next two matches.
Lenny has the team playing to a decent standard the players need to be brave enough to take that extra step up.

We are good enough to win but we must take our chances when we get them. Anything less and we will pay the consequences.

FT, 2-2, and what a dramatic match/fightback by Hibs! Thumb up We looked 'dead n buried' at 0-2 down until Lenny changed the substitution immediately after losing the second goal, sent Simon Murray back to the subs' bench and opted for Ollie Shaw to play '3 up top' and give Stokesy some support - what an excellent ploy that risky move was by Lenny and it 'paid off' for the Hibs!! Ollie Shaw is a young Hibs player who definitely has 'something' about him, an element of real quality and nous, that makes him stand out in these kinda games. His only 'blot' today was missing that decisive third goal when I thought it was easier to score rather than give Lustig any opp to clear the ball off the Hoops' goal line! However, that 'strike'/winning goal would have been undeserved in a match where Celtic were not at their best and a number of Hibs players were making some very poor decisions during this match but it was still a good game to watch and we've come out of it with a positive result! Well done!

Decent result against a good celtic side, i thought tactically we got it about right 1st half in containing them and 2nd half lennon made a very good change to pressure their defence more and it paid dividends!

Yes they missed good chances and 'lady luck' gave us a break. But i think we were worth a draw for the way we played in the last quarter and very nearly snatched the win. Whittaker was definitely the weak link for us,and i think we should maybe move efe to RB for the midweek game.

I like shaw as well and he may well have forced himself into the thinking for a start against sevco.

What a great fight back to get a point when we looked well beaten. admittedly Celtic were a shade off their game after their Champions League matches but they have been good enough to keep extending their unbeaten run. I thought we were worth a point and,as others have said, taking all 3 may have been undeserved - but we would be jumping for joy if we had. The players will have taken a huge increase in confidence from today, hopefully we can turn it into 3 points when we meet Rangers,

Yeah at 0-2 I thought it was all over but when we went 3 5 2 we caused celtic more problems. Don't like pointing out players mistakes but sorry to say Whittaker and Stevenson for me are passed their best.

Since Whittaker has arrived he's upset our back 4 but I'm not going to make a big thing out of it delighted we got a draw today yes we could have won it at the end but how did Forrest put it past the post in the first half.

Young shaw is no doubt one of the best young strikers in the country but I hope we don't put him under to much pressure and burn him out we've got plenty striker options at the moment. I think Murray would be a starter on Wedensday night he will run them down all over the park we've nothing to fear from that mob anyway lets go out and get the 3 points c'mon the cabbage

Aye bounce, be interesting to see how we handle things with shaw. Note how lennon has gone for him instead of the lithuanian striker when we needed a change more than once now, it suggests that we think he isn't far away.
