The League Cup final v Motherwell - a 'doing' for the Steelmen after Paris?
#1
And subsequently 65 x domestic matches unbeaten? I reckon this could well be a potential thrashing after the Hoops 7-1 'doing' v PSG in Paris! IMO the 'key' is if Dembele starts this match or not. I think he will 'run riot' as part of a 'strong response' to what happened in Paris and Motherwell will be 'at the wrong end' of a real 'doing' as well. We shall see if that is the case tomorrow afternoon and if Rodgers replicates Jock Stein's previous management record of 4 x trophies in a row!

Celtic 2 Motherwell 0 and it is becoming a 'conveyor belt' of trophies and league titles - 4 x trophies in a row and more to come methinks! Rolleyes

Another craig Thomson masterclass. how he is still refereeing top games I don't know.
He gave celtic a very soft penalty and he should probably have sent off kipre in the first half too. He completely ruined that game.

The game was ruined by a referee who has to be the centre of attention constantly.
Kipre most probably should have walked earlier in the game but Sinclair dived to gain the penalty that killed off all Motherwell resistance.
Even Celtic fans are annoyed that another questionable decision has taken the gloss off their amazing run of domestic games and records in the process. Sadly another grey cloud hangs over their achievements.

It's just another 'faux pas', one of many, to add to Craig Thomson's 'historical file' of highly questionable refereeing with an element of partiality attached to his incompetence! I thought the intense booing of Thomson, during the presentation of the cup final ref medals, confirmed another unsatisfactory performance at Hampden Park by this 'serial offender! I felt sorry for his ref assistants all the same! They looked really uncomfortable in a setting that should ideally have had no great controversy attached to them after a match like this one!
