Gutted for May. Off the bar onto the foot of the post and out! Booked for nowt as well. Just what the hell has he done to offend the footballing gods?

As for Drenthe not passing when we had a four on one, he should be made to walk home. Angry

31 chances in the game, only 6 on target, between the teams. Shows that neither team has that clinical striker or one that is in-form!!! I disagree with some comments, I didn't think we were rubbish today, I thought for long periods we were the better team and they relied on catching us on the break in the second half!! We hit the woodwork three times, had a mad scramble on the line and had the better chances that we should have taken.

But I do agree that with the players we have the manager has to make more of them but I am not sure he can do it!!! Its time to get a manager in that can get more out of this bunch of players, which to be fir is the best squad we have had in probably 10 years!!!

No doubt we've had some rotten luck, and poor decisions against us. But we have to be better than that, we need to not only score, but put games to bed. Even when we were playing well, 3-0 up at Boro we STILL failed to put the game to bed and almost ended up drawing 3-3.
I don't mean we were rubbish today specifically, I mean that currently we're unable to score, unable to beat weaker teams, unable to hold a lead, lack confidence and the majority of our clean sheets come from no score draws. It's fair to say that despite a few positives here and there and a 10 minute flurry of nice passing, our form, is rubbish. Just my humble of course.

Today's game for me is just another example of pissing points away.

First half was the usual dross but second half, we were much better.

May was as outstanding as he can be without scoring, Westwood saved us a couple of times, Maghoma cleverly set May clear but his shot hits underside of bar down on to the post, three efforts blocked on the line, Maguire brought down in box but referee books him for diving and Drenthe forces keeper into great save at death.

Palmer kept Bunn quiet and Helan who struggled early on gradually got to grips with Scannell. Lees saved us with one sliding clearance in the first half.

Westwood - 9 - saved us again
Palmer - 7 - best game for a while, kept his side tight
Lees - 8 - outstanding, again
Loovens - 6 - solid generally, yellow card
Helan - 7 - used his pace to good effect
Drenthe - 7 - good threat, went close twice, dangerous corners, wild tackle foor yellow card
McGugan - 6 - quiet debut
Semedo - 6 - couple of errors but better than recently
Maghoma - 6 - set up three good chances, all spurned
GTF - 5 - added little
May - 8 - everything but the goal, unlucky yellow card
................................................................
Nuhui - 6 - three half chances
Maguire - 6 - should have had penalty, unjust yellow card
Lee - 6 - hardly involved

We have a really good squad of players but they look like they have never practiced together.

Once Maghoma went off, we continued our record of never scoring this season when he hasn't been on the pitch.

Another draw keeps SG in his job for another week as we limp towards the relegation zone.

With my referee knowledge, both my bets won.

Let's hope Westwood's head never drops, outstanding keeper. I believe its fair to say that some of those 0-0 draws, he was the difference between us taking the point or losing. And again today too, despite what should have been.

I can see Wigan raising their game next week, viewing us as a 3pt stepping stone up the league. If we approach that game the same way I don't see any points out of that game either. I'd like to see us set up with an attack mentality, possibly Maguire slipped in behind 2 strikers, it's always a risk playing a high back line with us, we still need to learn how to play the offside trap correctly, we've had our defence split by single passes too many times for my liking.

Bournemouth for the Prem??

All power to them, little clubs can still achieve the dream, we need to cut our cloth accordingly.

Their chairman is spending a fortune compared to ours!! They are heading for FFP sanctions at the end of this season, this may be their only chance to go up!!

Blunts losing at home to Oldham, they have definitely been a bogey team for them in the past few years!!

Even after saying all that !! i still beleive we have at least one of the top 6 teams on players alone !! but again without the right Manger it means **** all !!

The rules have changed but not until the 2016/17 season, so if they overspend this season there should be some sanctions. QPR still face a hefty fine and if they continue as they have they will have to pay it when they come down.

Having said that, like you say we have diligently built a good squad that is being stifled by a coach who cannot change formations and tactics, either before a game or during it!!

Our only hope against them is that all this crap surrounding Dave Whelan and Mackay disrupts the team, but I imagine the opposite may happen and they come together under the new manager!! Still think there are easily three worse teams than us but we have to turn some of these draws into wins!!
