All successful rich business people are either crooked or have psycopathic tendencies ,come on lads didnt you know that ?.Dont be so naive in thinking we are going to get a knight on a white charger coming to rescue us from that evil Mr Allen.
I just think that Mike Ashley is a much richer man than DA and would definitely give Jack a bigger budget to play with without throwing money at it .Anyway, all this is irrelevant as it ain't going to happen so get your head out of the clouds Dancing mate .

I think it's best to take these rumours with a pinch of salt until something concrete happens.
Just got to hope one of us wins the Euromillions.

From my perspective I would trust Ashley more than DA!!! Both are rich for a reason, and it ain't because they are nice, but DA is pretty much a "lite" version of Ashley who has screwed as many people as any other businessman but with a few less zeros on the end!!

The reason to trust DA more than Ashley is HE HAS LESS MONEY. He can therefore do fewer bad things to us, and is in a sense tied to us ....... because a few million matters to him. Once you've got Ashley with £400 million from the sale of Newcastle alone you've got a man who may quickly grow to hate us ...... who really would cast us aside like a toy he's outgrown.
I'm with Matt. I keep trying to win Euromillions. My plan is to buy the club, take a study group to Germany, visit a club like Union Berlin and try and model Chesterfield along similar lines. My aim would be to create a debt-free, member-owned club with multiple income streams capable of self-sufficiency at least, within which I would eventually become just another member and supporter. I would do everything legally possible to make take-over impossible in the future. Chesterfield would indeed belong to the fans of Chesterfield. (Jack Lester's job would be safe. But I'd ensure our youth programme really was capable of bringing players to first team level ..... without a black hole between the two before I reduced my influence to that of an ordinary member.)
Oh yes .......... and Matt, I don't know what job you do now, but you could look forward to a career devoted to helping Chesterfield achieve and maintain Championship status in whatever area you think you are most talented.

Dev,I think Jacks background means he has a keen interest in what happens at youth level and I think we can safely say he will be doing all he can to close the black hole you talk about .Some first team managers choose get involved at a lower level, some dont ,I dont think Cookie attended that many youth games but Jack has been seen often.

I'm hoping so too Blue, but without a reserve team or B team or something ..... he'll hit random select once players are over 17. Their on-field development will be down to experiences at other clubs. Some are crying out for a loan if they can't quite get a first team game and benefit from it, but others develop more slowly ....... and if you've got nowhere to go with them, even if you've a feeling all they need is time, you ditch them at 17. It's a kind of idiocy to be linking ourselves first to developing very young players, then praising 16 and 17 year olds when they win games against other clubs AND then they hit sink or swim territory.

If we do I can't find anything about them Matt and I read somewhere that Jack was going to set up friendlies when Binnom-Williams was getting fit - surely we'd have heard about him being in the reserves if we'd reserves?
But dunno is the real answer.
Anyway Matt are you up for grooming as future CEO when I win Euromillions ce soir?

Not CEO but centre-forward yes or left back on the bench.
Dancing should be CEO. Blue can be PR and spin everything to be positive because he's always optimistic.

I wasn't optimistic about Danny Wilson so maybe not the job for me.
We have reverted back to having reserve games as and when it suits us as opposed to being forced to play in a league ,we had one behind closed doors (dunno why that was ) against Sheffyoo last week .Drew 2-2 by all accounts .
