Prediction League Tables Week 11
#1

Definitely a week for using your balls wisely!! Overall a very positive week for most predictors but it was the use of the various balls that really made a difference!! DD and Amelia shared top spot both on the back of the Gamball and Bonus Ball. Zinman and Worldclass were just a point behind, had Wordlclass used the Gamball though he would have been 6 points better off and in top place fo the week. Joker, BBB and Sanjay all scored well, again all picking up points (or saving them) by using their balls wisely. As for myself, my slump continues with a really bad score saved by the FA Cup and Man City!! Unfortunately both Matt and Twerton ended with negative scores with Twerton holding the distinction of getting all bar one PL results incorrect and only one of the FA Cup games correct for his only successes.

Cheers SCO.

Premiership
Just when you think DD was about to have a blip, he top scores and extends his lead at the top, with over half the Gamballs landed and the same with his Bonus Ball, he’s going to be hard to overtake if he keeps up that consistency.
Keeping him on his toes is Sanjay, who’s a clear 2nd and passes the century mark for the season so far with another decent week. These 2 have a very healthy lead at the top and it’s going to take some high scores from the chasers to have any chance of challenging for the title.
Derby reclaims 3rd, but sits over 40 points away moving any higher, although his rise did push St Charles down to 4th and out of the top 3 for the first time this season. A solitary point separates them and it’s an identical gap down to 5th which BBB holds on to, all the more impressive as he missed the first week.
Amelia passes the half century mark and in doing so moves up a place to 6th and is just another good week away from breaking into the top 3, just a correct result Gamball separates 3rd down to 6th.
Dropping a place to 7th and losing a little ground on those above him is Twerton who suffered a bad week for the first time in a few weeks after moving up the table only 2 weeks earlier. On the same points mark, so also in 7th Zinman moved up a place, and if his Gamball prediction was anywhere near his impressive Bonus Ball stats, he’d be up near the top.
Worldclass opened up a gap over the relegation places in 8th following a good week with a season high weekly score, and will be keen to follow up after the international break as he’s only 9 points away from those above him.
Sadly Matt shows no signs of climbing out of the relegation zone in 9th, whereas Joker appears to be getting the hang of things after a late start, with a seasons best week in his third week.

Bomber

A second week when things look a lot better on Sunday than they did on Saturday night (it was usually the other way round when I was younger). Lord Snooty's charge up the table continues with a second consecutive table topping performance. Only 4 correct results but these did include a spot-on gamball, a correct result on the bonus and good use of his insurance ball. . The only other person to correctly predict the outcome of Tony Pulis' latest borefest was Beefy, having one of his better weeks but failing to get any scores correct - not quite the 20+ week he was loudly predicting but better than the rest of us expected. Bomber and Vic both had decent double-figure weeks, Bomber clearly copying someone else's bonus selection and Vic's random number generator working better than any other method he's used. Vic ought to get a bonus for being the only person to predict wins for Brighton and Burnley - "ought to" but he won't cos it doesn't work like that.
A special mention for Baggieone who would have come in with an impressive 20 points.....if only he hadn't had a change of heart and changed his gamball prediction! Regrets, I've had a few......
An average week for 4eva, clearly getting nervous at the sight of Snooty charging up behind him (can't blame him really) and Salop just managed to scramble into positive territory. This week's minusmen are Quantum, Bournemouth and Stairs all of whom lost points on the gamball (all eternal optimists). Bournemouth was saved from total disaster by getting his bonus result right and Stairs was looking at a potential worst possible score on Saturday night but managed to at least get something right on Sunday. Two negatives weeks in a row for Stairs who is starting to make Beefy look good.

Championship
Almost a third of the way through the season and the top 2 are beginning to break away from the rest and hold a very comfortable lead in the 2 promotion places.
Top of the league is still 4eva who became the first in the Championship to hit the century mark and has now been top for the last 7 weeks and has not been out of the top 2 all season.
He is being hunted down by Snooty though in 2nd who has closed the gap from 42 points at the end of week 9 to just 7 points after 2 successive high scoring weeks and is just 3 short of the magic 100 mark and the record goes on – it’s now 11 consecutive points saved with his Insurance Ball.
Baggieone still holds 3rd but is rapidly losing ground on the top 2 while also being well within reach of the closing pack who are bunching up below with his position firmly in their sights.
Bournemouth similarly hangs on to 4th but a first dreaded minus week of the season  didn’t help his cause to either climb or put some daylight between him and those behind.
Bomber goes into the international break having cracked the top half of the table for the first time this season, moving up 2 places to 5th helped by another Bonus Ball haul, more than half correct and another half of them with the right score.
BaggieVicar also moves up 2 places into 6th and like Bomber sits in a season high position for the next couple of weeks. Heady heights considering the first 5 weeks were spent in the bottom 2.
Salop continued his poor run of form and is now down in 7th having been top 4 and climbing just a few weeks ago.
Beefy didn’t manage the “around 25 points week” but did almost double his seasons score in one fell swoop and also moved up a place into 8th.
Quantum clearly didn’t like climbing 3 places last week, so decided to drop 4 places this week back down into 9th, as low as he’s been since week 5.
Languishing at the foot of the table is Stairs who suffered the almost inevitable Gamball fail as he virtually wiped out his seasons tally in one week to sit fairly and squarely on the bottom with a meagre 3 points to show for his efforts.

Still clinging on to top spot but his Lordship is closing me down, must stop going with my heart and let my head make the decisions, if I gone for another pulis tepid performance and defeat would have been twelve points better off but hope springs eternal ........ come on you Baggies. Still not in my nature to call for the sacking of a Baggies manager / head coach but please do the decent thing and feck off TP. I know you won't, you want the pay out but please give us a break.
