An away fixture for Hibs but this time v the 3rd placed side in the Scot Premiership after Rangers latest 1-1 concession to Killie. This will certainly be another challenge for the guys v a very physical Motherwell team that has also attained a Betfred Cup final place and is in 'good form' - ample motivation for Hibs to 'show up' and have a 'good go' at beating them. It should be a good match with a big Hibs support turning up for this one particularly after that solid Derby win last night. C'mon the hibees!

This is going to be a toughy, motherwell are going well just now and we always seem to dip a wee bit after a big game... can we play with the same intensity as midweek ?
Is stokesy fit for this one ? If so we could play him up front off murray and maybe drop barker to the bench ? Or maybe lenny will bring slivka back in and go for more bodies in the middle? Motherwells full backs didn't look the best though and maybe we will persist with the old fashioned 2 wingers style we used v hertz?
Fingers crossed.

A good week for us capped off with 3 points at a freezing, windy fir park.
Same team as midweek, and we turned in another good performance. Our midfield was again the difference with barker coming more infield in almost a free role at times and he caused havoc for the motherwell defence. dylan and SJM took some punishment the day but performed well. Once again we weren't quite clinical enough in front of goal in killing teams off and the well keeper won't look back to fondly on his xxxx up for the only goal, but its deffo something we need to work on.... but bar a couple of chances motherwell really didn't get much of a sniff the day - hanlon and whittaker in particular positioned themselves brilliantly.
When motherwell did go for it in the 2nd half,we made the right changes from the bench to see the game out. I thought young shaw did well again when he came on.
Next up a hard game with kilmarnock midweek. They have picked up since appointing stevie clarke and another big performance is going to be required.
