That'd be a kind of paradox unfortunately as both teams wouldn't cross the halfway line on current form; so could see Pulis settling for a point in that game to be honest  Whistle

I would take Koeman 100%. Yes he has struggled this season with Everton but not replacing Lukaku properly and making wrong signings has played a big part in it. His great work at Feyenoord and Southampton is why he has a good reputation and for that work alone I would definitely take him.

Fantastic player as well - scored some absolute worldy free kicks in his day!

Yes, I have always disliked Pulis since his Stoke days as did 90% of those on this and the old BBC 606 forum. Seems that opinion changed somewhat as many, who had previously criticised him, welcomed his appointment.

I love my club and after over 60 years supporting them through thick and thin, I hate to witness what I thought we would, and have become.

Given the ‘Likes’ on your post 4eva, it would seem I am in the minority with my views on Pulis and his methods. I will wait for the inevitable before commenting on the matter again.

That's a cracking article you found there Beef, it hit the nail very squarely on its head, I only wish I were so articulate because it says exactly how I feel.

I echo 4eva and SirMegson's sentiments that on occasions the hostility towards Pulis gets deflected on to the supporters that were prepared to give him the time to move us onto the next level. Baggieman you said from the word go you didn't want TP at our club and nobody could never accuse you of sitting on the fence and your dislike of him has never wavered, and coming from Stoke you more than likely get a feel of how things soured there better than I do.

I was one of the ones who was prepared to give him a go and though I wouldn't go as far as calling him a God, he has, for the last 2 years, done a fantastic job. He came with the remit of keeping us up which he did and then did it again with near enough the same set of players he inherited following transfer windows that through no fault of his were disastrous.

I don't like the hounding or the name calling and how long before his family start getting dogs abuse in the stands or the car park - and that's where this is heading.

Tony Pulis will drag every ounce of effort out of average players and make them into a unit, it's what he does and whatever we think of him he does it bloody well, he always has. By hook or by crook he'll get results with players that really shouldn't be getting them.

As the article says the problems start when he hasn't just got bang average players, he's now got some very good creative players but refuses to loosen the reins and let them play. I've used the word dinosaur to describe him before, because he still lives in the age where he's never had high quality players, his whole managerial career has been about making a team out of hard workers, not much entertainment, not many goals but still hard to beat.

We are better off than we were last year, personnel wise, but they're being told to play the way we were last year.

It's now down to the board to act, Pulis has taken us as far as he can, we've brought in the next level of players, now we need a manager/coach who'll let them play the way they can to move the club up to the next level.

It is time for Pulis to go, but I'd say thanks for keeping us where we are and for stabilising us for 2 seasons when we were a disaster waiting to happen. We're back there now I reckon, a disaster waiting to happen, but it's the board who need to make the change, Pulis certainly won't because I honestly don't think he knows how to.

I thought managers were only sacked after they'd played the Albion. I honestly thought was a new law introduced by the Premier League.

Personally I think that would be the opposite of what I'd like to see BaggieMan - more debate is what keeps a forum like this ticking over. Keep on posting  Thumb up

If we replaced Pulis with Allardyce I'd honestly just give my season ticket away.

Biggest long ball hoof merchant in the game, when he's not telling undercover reporters how to get backhanders from football agents, that is Whistle

BM, please keep commenting on all topics you feel strongly about including this one, all our opinions count, the likes on my post are more about not name calling or casting assertions about people whose views differ slightly from yours i.e. people think he is a god. More people including me are leaning more towards your views. I for one knew eventually your predictions of our football would come true, 90%+ of managers eventually fail and get sacked, but until that day he has a job to do, a job he has so far managed to complete, kept us up. We are all one Albion.
