Well Matt it didn't look as strong to me Matt but that's mainly because it didn't include the one man I feared ....... Maybe Rotherham fans don't know their own team. I certainly don't know ours. For all I know heading could be Jak McCourt's special skill.
I'm surprised their fans would be annoyed at all. They lost their first Checkatrade game. That surely should have been a clue and the one they were trying in. After all they could hardly rely on the worst team in the group on paper to come through and beat a team they couldn't beat themselves ......

By the way Matt when I checked it looked as though Rotherham had changed almost their entire team from Saturday - from O'Donnell in goal all the way to centre forward. It didn't really look weak though ............ and considering how we've been doing a Rotherham fan could have expected to win.
We do have to remember that both Port Vale and Forest Green also had morale-boosting victories on Tuesday, before we start expecting both the unlikely to happen at Lincoln and our immediate rivals just to fall apart.

I think the problem is the team is low on confidence but the other thing which a lot of fans have talked about is passion. There seems to be no passion in this team.
The other worrying thing is the teams above the drop zone are now pulling away and are into double figures. If we can beat Morecambe which I think we've got a good chance of doing and teams above us draw or lose then it will help us.

Just watched the highlights and we were horrendous .We just couldnt do anything right ,losing out on most one to one challenges and not keeping the ball ,that is the key to being able to dominate your opposition.
The only positive was that we didnt give up and battled to the end but its worrying because Jack needs to start to get some improvement out of these players ,we havent got time to wait until the transfer window.

You can only improve something that isn't performing well and wants to be made better. By not doing what we should have done at the end of last season we allowed somebody the time and money to bring in the biggest load of wasters and hasbeens possible. Can you honestly name one of Caldwells recruits that has looked like a reasonably good signing? We should have started the season with a bang not the whimper we have done. We saw last season what Caldwell could do on a limited budget and that should have been enough.
We now have a manager who nearly everybody wanted and it looks as though even he wont be able to perform the required miracle. So as he struggles to get some kind of team performance from what he has been given, how long will it take to make him a bad manager in the fans eyes?
Everybody is already talking about the Jan window, what do they think will happen? Will DA stump up a million or so and say "Here Jack find yourself a few players". Who is going to take the crap off our hands we will need to allow us to bring somebody else in and who in their right mind will want to come to bottom of the football league?
I am not saying I told you so but it was all just so bloody obvious. We will drop out of the football league unless JL pulls a rabbit out of the hat and finds some goals in his team so we actually need to try and outscore our opponents. Defence wise we are a basket case so lets forget it and go out and attack sides from the off instead of pussy footing about. Lets go 4-2-4 and play German, Brewster, Dennis and Ugwu up top at least it would make other teams think about things.

I don't think Wiseman and Mcourt have done too badly and if Sinnott ever got the chance what I've seen he looks decent,as for the rest well there doesn't look at this stage to be many who you would say is a good signing .As Jack says its two steps forward and one step back and I don't think anybody can disagree with that .
I didn't think to be honest we would get anything at Lincoln but I am hopeful that we can get 3 points on Saturday.

Problem with Sinnott Blue is that there's something 3 managers don't fancy. I also thought he has looked half decent but something must be wrong. Wiseman so far has been pretty average for me and McCourt hasn't started enough to show what he can do.
This is without doubt the worst squad of players I have ever seen in Blue shirts. What would anybody give to see Banks, Gardner, Jones and Donohue back in this squad.

I must say I can't remember a Chesterfield side in 56-ish years that hasn't had a single player you could say would be a cut above our regular opposition. A man you could rely on for a 7 out of 10 even when everything's going wrong. Now the only one you could even imagine in that role is Tommy Lee and it seems that maybe the full Tommy could be gone forever. In truth individually we are struggling to match every opposition team in every single position in every single game. We can't murder a full back, embarrass a centre back, outclass a midfielder, silence a forward. We are regularly outmatched all over the park.
My opinion is that Jack needs to start building a team, when that is even possible for him, that will be capable of doing well in the Vanarama. Failing league players won't be the answer. At Dover, Kidderminster, Halifax, Woking, Sutton, Solihull, St Albans, Truro, Maidstone, Bromley, Dagenham, Boreham Wood, Aldershot, Blyth to name a few, you can find clubs with not much money, but at least one or two talented players, not only capable of Division Two, but who would not find the Vanarama a shock. When the window opens Jack, if the club makes it clear its priority is if it goes down to come back quickly, should be recruiting not only to save the club from relegation, but also provide the basis of a team which could bounce back.
Now it's true that, if for instance Leicester City come in as they did last season for Chester's 20-year-old centre back we couldn't compete ....... EXCEPT that we could say as Lincoln clearly did to Sean Raggett when he was at Dover, "COME TO US AND YOU'LL PLAY!" He did, now he's got a bigger club and is only back at Lincoln on a temporary loan as part of the deal. The truth is a lot of non-league clubs would regard being cash-strapped as unimaginable riches. They are open to deals and our pockets don't need to be that deep.
