Prediction League Tables

Welcome to Week 7 results
Welcome to the usual low scores as well,
The fixtures must be well and surely testing or are we that bad or is football just becoming Impossible to predict ?

So this week ............ hats off to WorldClass a victor at last just heading off DD by virtue of one extra correct result, both players ended up with ten points, however I don't suppose Mr Consistent(DD) will lose much sleep as his consistency will probably allow him to edge further away at the top,
Food for thought Worldclass as you didn't use the Gamball it has cost you 6 points  Doh a decent week for Sanjay who comes in third but suffered the same fate and six point loss for not using the Gamball, more so if he had used it instead of 8 points he has,he would have topped the table this week with 14 points Mmmmmmmmm   Whistle
Rolling in at 4th was BBB who again was saved in some respects by a correct result on the Gamball, in 5th Matt steady start to joining the Prediction league continues with 5 points, why Derby and Zinman bring up the best of the rest with Four points,
St charles title bid seems to be coming off the rails a little as he slips further behind with just two points this week (cant blame me this week)  Laugh
And then we have the two minus men this week sorry Minus man & woman(sorry Amelia)
Amelia who has become more consistent this season suffered from a bad week this time and scored -2 and struggling Twerton well erm ....continues to struggle and came in with a low -4, Did you actually win the prediction league once mate ? ............ seems along time ago now I bet Twerton
So as I wait to to hear my fate   Cry  I'm looking forward to the International Break after another crazy Weekend predicting and the Baggies conceding in the 95th Minute   Doh
Damn you Football   Angry
See you in a week's time
Beefy   Thumb up

Premiership
Going into the International break with a 29 point lead is just what most of us dream about, but that’s just what DD has done  Smartass  with a fourth consecutive top scoring week although as Beefy says he’s had to share top spot in the weekly battle.
Derby & St Charles swap places in a vain bid to hold onto the leaders coattails, but both lose ground in the early season battle for the title.
Sanjay and BBB stay in 4th & 5th the latter still 100% on his 6 Insurance Balls to date and it’s becoming apparent that the top 5 are there on merit as they’ve been there for the past 4 weeks and are beginning to open up a sizeable gap to Amelia in 6th who is 19 points behind them.
She hold a 12 point advantage over the bottom 4 who are split by just a correct score or a correct bonus result. Zinman in 7th is being pursued by Worldclass who climbs two places from last week after being joint top scorer overtaking Twerton who is certainly on the slide and MattWBA who although bottom has shown enough in just his 3 weeks so far to suggest that he’ll soon be climbing the league  Thumb up

Bomber

Oh dear, Beefy.

Finally a good week for Vic who leaves Bomber as the only player in the Championship yet to have a double figure score. Vic's joined at the top of this week's table by Salop with a solid 13 points - both Vic and Salop benefited from correct scores in both the Gamball and their bonus ball. Bournemouth comes in 3rd this week - if only he'd joined earlier he could well be fighting it out at the top. Bomber would have had a great week if only..... just 4 wrong results but unfortunately these included both his bonus and the Gamball.

Special mention for Snooty who despite bravely (?) putting his bonus on Huddersfield, still came in with a creditable 7 points. Quantum again got the gamball result right...but again chose not to play it - another 6 points given away.
Beefy comes bottom - for the 3rd time in 7 weeks and also scoring less than zero for the 5th time, proving just how incredibly consistent he is.

Remember though, as someone keeps reminding us, it's a marathon not a sprint...but it would help if you actually started the running in the right direction, guys.

Championship

Much like the Premiership we have a clear leader going into the break as 4eva stretched his lead to 17 points with an average score but better than his 2 closest rivals for the title.
Baggieone not only lost 7 points ground on top spot but also had his lead over his pursuers chopped to 13 points in the battle for a promotion slot.
Snooty held on to 3rd for the sixth week on the trot with the help of his 7th week on the trot picking the right game for his Insurance Ball, but is slowly being chased down by Salop who has shown a real consistency to sit in 4th after being a lowly 8th of 9 at the end of week 3.
Bournemouth shows how off form the bottom half of the table is by comfortably holding 5th place after only 3 weeks of predicting, if he carries on at this pace forcing his way into the promotion picture is no forlorn hope.
That’s more a description of the bottom 5 putting any sort of run together  Doh . Bomber sits 6th, but can’t get the knack of playing with his special balls properly  Blush , while BaggieVicar is starting to get the hang of things with another upward movement of a place into the heady heights 7th after being bottom for the first 3 weeks.
Quantum although climbing a place to 8th did lose ground and there is an 11 point gap before he can think of climbing again.
Biggest mover of the week although he won’t thank me for mentioning it is Beefy  Thumb down  who continues to drop down the table like a runaway train. One off the bottom is probably not where he expected to be, but probably higher than most on here thought he would be  Tongue .
Poor old Stairs at the bottom can’t pick the Gamball to save his life 7 out of 7 without a sniff, who’d have thought he was 2nd after the first week, his demise even outdoing Beefys, but from a personal point of view not half as amusing  Laugh

Beefy, don't get down hearted, remember the tortoise and the hare, some teams start slowly and then pick up speed, your just being sporting giving me a head start before blowing me away with a late surge ....... how's that, inspirational enough.

There is light at the end of the tunnel ......... it's probably a train coming to mow you down but .......

I will use the Gamball for always in a valiant attempt to set a record 'Derby County Style' or to dig myself out of this hole
