Saturday the 23rd
Beefy starts his write up early sensing a back to the old times 20+ and even the odd 30 points on the way gets excited .......
Sunday the 24th
See the scores, shakes head and it's just as normal, back to the normal dross being served up by so called prediction experts

But a few of you hung on in there

No Surprise then that Sheff Wed threw a spanner in the works,
The top three then unsurprisingly being the only ones to go for a United win,
A great run of form must mean DD has almost certainly reached the summit as well as his good run his canny knack of getting the Gamball right means he is getting very good scores indeed, his 21 points was comfortably the best by a distance this week,
A good effort from Derby also getting 50% of his results correct, a few more correct scores instead would have a world of difference,
Oh and a sound out for my pal Amelia who has not had really good or bad weeks just sort of stuck in the middle, an improvement came this week as she came in equal 3rd with a respectable 9 points, along with newcomer Matt
World Class and came in 4th with a steady 6 points
Then the only other positive score came from Binman(Did I really say that) ?
Oh sorry Zinman who managed to add just 3 Points to his overall total,
BBB run of correct Gamball's came to a end and he finished the week where he started with Zero points,
The bottom three then, Sanjay minus 2 , St Charles(who has seemingly blamed me for the rubbish scores)

The odds on Twerton retaining his Title now look as remote as Bomber buying a round of drinks !!!!!

Keep up the fun posts guys, enjoying the banter, Should get Weeks 7's Fixtures up tonight ......
Beefy

Premiership (top week score and week achieved follows name)
In a week where most placing remained unaltered, there were 3 changes that merit a mention.
The first being that DD stretched his lead at the top, as those around him faltered, to an impressive 23 points which in layman’s terms is about 3 weeks worth of points the way we predict. 3 consecutive top weekly scores have gone a long way as has picking up Gamball points like confetti.
St Charles held on to his 2nd spot – just – after suffering a below par week, which brings me to my second notable mention, Derby, who grabbed back his place in the top 3 courtesy of climbing 2 places from last week owing much to a good Saturday and a good Sunday.
Sanjay and BBB each dropped a place to make way for Derby, BBB keeping up his 100% shrewd Insurance Ball selection while Amelia made a move to close up on both gaining 9 and 11 points respectively on her targets above her.
Twerton gains 3 points despite scoring -1 this week thanks to me carrying forward an incorrect score from the week before, see I do make mistakes and even admit them

Zinmans struggles continue desperately trying to muster up some "former champion" form but is slipping back towards the bottom 2.
MattWBA gets my third noteworthy mention of the week claiming 9th spot for himself with a half decent week getting 6 of the 10 results correct and is only another correct result away from stepping out of the negatives and overcoming the handicap he was given only joining up last week.
Worldclass is propping up the table but again has to make up for his handicap of last week because the dog ate his predictions, but good points this week have helped inch a little bit closer to safety.
Bomber
It was all looking ok on Saturday night but then the Sunday hangovers kicked in. Nobody managed a positive Sunday with everyone but Vic playing the Gamball, and nobody predicting a Blades win. Salop did recover by getting the Brighton score correct and with a further 5 correct scores he heads our table this week although with the lowest top score so far this season. In a very condensed table we only had 2 Minusmen, Quantum and Bomber, but again this week saw the highest bottom of the table score so far this season. Beef had one of his better weeks - he actually scored some points - and 4eva maintained his consistent form. Looking at past scores only Baggieman is yet to have a negative week - there's always next week though!
With only 10 points separating top from bottom this week there wont be a great deal of movement in the overall league table and as a certain person keeps reminding us, it's a marathon not a sprint....
Zin
Championship (top week score and week achieved follows name)
Well what a high scoring week – NOT

Much like the Premiership a bit of a status quo regarding the positions with very little upward or downward movement bar 1 slide towards the bottom. What it did do was extend the top 2 lead as 4eva stretched his advantage over Baggieone to 10 points which had looked like it may be more on Saturday evening.
A further 19 points back in 3rd is Snooty who can thank his sixth consecutive Insurance save for his solitary point this week, however another half decent week for Salop has edged him to within 9 points of the Bronze position.
Bournemouth didn’t quite repeat his heroics from last weeks debut performance but does sit comfortably in 5th after just 2 weeks predicting.
Bomber clearly needs to give some of his time to studying before he predicts

BaggieVicar has been rewarded again this week for keeping the faith as he moves up another place to 8th with a third consecutive positive week.
If 2 have moved up 1 must have moved down and Quantum is the sufferer dropping down 2 spots to 9th after climbing 2 last week, and will be looking to repeat that trend next week.
Still propping up the entire league is Stairs who stays exactly where he was last week. He still stands as the only regular Gamballer to have not had the sniff of success after 6 attempts. Will his luck change or will he take a hint and stop using them
