Surprised that Kachunga is playing. He looked injured when he came off on Saturday. Glad he isn't. Smile

Our bench is full of attacking promise.

Give Crainie 60 minutes, ease him back in. Then partner Hef and Whitehead again to see the game out. Whistle

Poorly defended corner. 1-0 Palace.

Pathetic goal to concede from a corner. Header on the line. Where the hell was Coleman, or anyone calling himself a central defender?

Sabiri on for Lolley.

Mooy and Whitehead on.
Ince and Hogg off.

Att: 6,607. 490 from Town.

And the terrible League Cup record goes on.

Aye. That's the keeper's ball. Young Coleman still has a lot to learn. I think he needs a few months on loan somewhere, especially now we have an England goalkeeper to keep the bench warm.

It pains me to say it but....it's no big deal losing in the League cup as we have to concentrate on the Premier League.

Shocking defending for the Palace goal, pretty much a free header helped along by a keeper that made Danny Ward look like Harold Scumacher Big Grin

Nice to get some of the injured/fringe players some minutes on the pitch. Are we to assume that Lolley has proven himself not good enough by his half time substitution or was yet another injury?

A big well done to all those that travelled last night especially those from West Yorkshire, you should be rewarded for your loyalty by being bumped up the ladder for priority but you probably won't be plus I don't want you getting priority over me Tongue

Finally, you just know Palace will get drawn away at Bristol C or Swansea anyway so I'm glad we didn't win Big Grin Big Grin

I hope we put in a better showing for the FA Cup. Getting to the Premier League was never on my Town bucket list. Never thought we would. But getting to a proper Wembley League or FA Cup final has always been up there in my list.
Having said that, now we have got to the PL I don't want to lose it on the back of a good cup run.

first half we were pants, side to side VLP carried most threat that show you, super sloppy defending at the back, their chap didnt even need to jump just nodded it past Coleman who's handling all night was substandard from 6 yards or less.

2nd half we had a real good go but without a clinical striker and what seems a wafer thin squad, couldnt find an equaliser to keep us all in Sarf London until 11pm with extra time and pens on offer - gutted I was - not !

490 town half southern exiles I reckon, ticket office said 1000 tickets were sold day before so I make that 510 speculating the club will reward away game ticket purchase loyalty next season based on the above stats - at £15 it was worth it not to go.
Fans responded with good noise 2nd half, the home Fanatics moved central behind the goal and made a real effort clearly shamed on the opening day by us Northern Monkeys growling all game.

Not bothered to be out, only down side is where will the likes of Coleman, H the new right back / Deano, Lolley get another game till FA cup 3 rd round comes around.

tbh Sloppy I doubt they will unless sat on the bench and we get an injury or Wagbo has the luxury of nursing a healthy lead - there won't be many of those in this division. Maybe defending a slim lead with minutes to go for Deano to save someone from a red card. Would have preferred Lolley to go to Burton rather than Scanz personally. Constantly picking Lolley for PFP the last few seasons has cost me next to bugger all as far as goals are concerned but a bloody fortune in subs appearances or changes when I've done it. Like the lad but there comes a point when ..... you know the rest.
