Port Vale have backed manager Michael Brown to remain in charge of League Two's bottom club despite a miserable run of six successive league defeats.
Vale have failed to score in six league and cup games, prompting calls from some Vale fans for Brown to be sacked.
But chief executive Colin Garlick says Brown will still be in charge when Vale host Forest Green on Saturday.
Brown's record is:-
P W D L Win%
33 6 8 19 18.2
Minnie Caldwell's is:-
P W D L Win%
28 3 8 17 10.7
Apparently some Port Vale fans have been moaning. They just don't know when things are going well do they?

Still got some way to go before he beats Dannys 8 league defeats in a row.
I really thought he would go after they lost on Tuesday ,its still a toss up between him and Gaz to go first, depending on Saturdays result.
Talking of managers under pressure old 'arry at Birmingham hasnt had the best of starts despite splashing the cash as usual and neither has Grayson at Sunderland

Can you imagine if Port Vale get rid of Brown and we get rid of Caldwell and we end up hiring Brown?

Blue why do you keep referring to Wilson when you talk of bad results? His record compared to Caldwell was magnificent. Even Brown has a much better win ratio. To catch up with him Caldwell would have to win 3 of the next 5 games. Good luck.
Hopefully by tonight we can breath a big sigh of relief as GC packs his bags and buggers off back over the border, leaving us with the worst record of any Town manager ever, including Danny Wilson.

Dancing I mention Wilson when I talk about bad results because we had bad results under him .
When I talk about bad results I mention Saunders and Caldwell too but people seem not to want to include Danny in our demise , making some excuse about not having the budget which is basically bollocks .

At least he played our own home grown youngsters. OK at times it wasn't pretty but when was last time any other Chesterfield manager actually managed a team scoring 7 in a game? It wasn't all crap like under Caldwell.

He inherited a team that had a big budget from Saunders and the 7-1 was quite early in his tenure,he gradually got worse and was given plenty of time as he should have been and as Caldwell was given .Someone mentioned it got worse when Morgan came in so maybe Danny wasnt totally to blame.

I agree that Morgan was one of the several mistakes Danny made. I also agree that Danny was/is so far off the scale a better manager than Caldwell the point isn't worth debating.
One very interesting thing you said somewhere on another thread Pooch was that Anyon showed some spring to get up and tip over against Accrington ............ I'm 6'3" and I could mostly tip the ball over the bar without jumping if I was on the line. It makes me wonder what Anyon's actual height, that you strongly question, actually is. A bloke of 6'2" shouldn't need an extravagant spring to reach the ball unless he is well off his line and narrowing the angle. (And if he is the ball is usually going to be on the rise and going over the bar with or without his help.) (I didn't see anything from Saturday I couldn't bear it!)
