Baggieman, we were listening, we are listening ...........

It's not pretty it's not entertaining ......... two of my most important criteria and fondest memories of watching Albion.

We have been thread bare ever since TP (FAC (football anti-Christ?)) arrived, I will support every manager, every player for the Albion as long as they are giving 100% . With meagre resources he has done a good job keeping us in the greed league, dull but a good job, we now have the best squad we have had in a while and we need to push on to the next level. Next level does not just mean finishing higher up the league, it means fighting for silverware, entertaining the fans, passing to each other, attractive football, bigger crowds, higher club revenue through global exposure and merchandising ........ all round becoming a bigger club to challenge the FA's elite gentleman's club.

I will give TP time to get this squad performing, he deserves that ....... but this can not become the norm for Albion, transition period in our history, forgivable, death of open attractive football ... unforgivable.

So let's all get behind the manager and the team ........... COYB

And baggieman, keep your principles, keep posting your views, that's why I respect you, strong, consistent, true to your beliefs, one day you will cure the FAC or you'll be right and he will be sacked.

So one Midlands dinosaur gone and just 2 left - I really hope someone doesn't step in with a breeding programme to ensure their survival........there's an image you want on a Sunday morning!

Zinman, love your sentiment but in the modern era the dinosaurs keep you in the league ..... how many fans have been excited by an attacking, exciting, flair manager signing for their club, then watching pretty tippy tappy possession football but losing games and the manager departing, being replaced by a fire fighting dinosaur to safeguard the premier league status / revenue ......

But I don't accept that replacing Pulis means inevitable relegation. I don't expect Barcelona style possession football but do want a manager who occasionally sets out to win a game rather than just not lose - other teams in this division seem able to do it. After having a season ticket for over 30 years I wouldn't cross the road to watch us now - I will return when we start to try to entertain, whichever division that may be in.

Zinman, I am with you, I would rather Albion play football and entertain, and yes without TP we would probably still stay up but ........ where are villa, blues, wolves and many many other clubs that thought the same ........

Something has to change, I am prepared to give TP a chance to make those changes ....... maybe a mistake but so might sacking the HC and destabilizing the team .......

I am less qualified to speak as I only get to a couple of games a season currently ...... Hoping to change that with a move to Shropshire but you long suffering season ticket holders deserve a medal ....... let's hope for better ....

My concern is that I don't think Pulis addressed the issue of scoring goals in the last two transfer windows. He put great emphasis on providing a spine of a strong defence and defensive midfielders but did precious little in injecting any flair or striking power into the team. I think the addition of Oliver Burke is a good one but we cannot accept the usual Pulis mantra of him either not being fit enough or too inexperienced. It always seems to me that, unless a player can run for 90 minutes like a Duracell battery bunny, he's never fit enough for Pulis. He needs to play Burke and not leave him warming the bench. He also bought Rodriguez, which is fine if you have other scoring options but I honestly don't believe that Rondon and HRK are those options. We must have one of the most powder puff forward lines in the league and our chance creating and goal scoring stats would bear that out. I agree with Zinman that we're not expecting to play like Barca but it doesn't have to be one or the other, there's other places to be on the spectrum and not just the extremes.

Ah - hope. There are 2 hope related phrases that are so applicable to Albion..."it's the hope that kills you" and "abandon hope, all ye that enter here" - a sign that really should be hanging outside the entrances to the Hawthorns.

I too hope for better days to come but as every game goes past my belief that this will only happen with a change of management grows stronger.
