WBA Transfer Window - Final Day
I would class this transfer window as an overall success. We still lack a little depth to it in certain positions but we are much stronger than we were last season.

With that comes expectation and I would say that finishing between 8th and 12th and a good cup run will be a success.

Manchester City end interest in Jonny Evans !

Big Grin

Even better that Wilson is signing for Sunderland

And Mcmanaman for a whooping £1 million  Laugh

I'm usually fuming on transfer deadline day
This time i'm overjoyed
Business done before the last day and held onto our captain
I think we were just one pacy forward from having a 10/10 window
Just a nine from me ...
How times have changed there are going to be some disappointed bench warmers at the club,
Just how it should be,...... strength in depth
Boing boing  Thumb up  Thumb up  Thumb up

Pacy..............................  Burke is supposed to be one of the quickest players out there  Huh

Where did I say Burke wasn't Pacy ?
I said a forward with Pace, Burke probably can play there but not a out and out Striker, Still think we are one short up top Thumb up you know as in another one ?

How good is the news that Jonny Evans will be staying at The Hawthorns!
Jonny is a commensurate professional and such a good example to younger temperamental 'I'm the greatest'  players.
No toys out of the pram or throwing a strop in the way Berahino did - well done Jonny!

Yet Merson on SKY said we should have let him go , he must be really disappointed FFS !!
Why ? because valuation wasn't matched, contract till 2021 and offered a contract worth 100k a week
Yep he must be really sad Confused

Probably the most satisfied that I've been in a window during the Premiership era.

As a pessimist, I expected that the arrivals would be funded by selling someone last minute - so pleasantly surprised unless there's any 'late paperwork' filed.

Hopefully Chadli and Pulis can put their differences aside and he can be the goalscoring midfielder that we need. If he recaptures his form, with the new players, we could do well.

I am worried about the squad size, I definitely would've liked another centre half and forward. But if we're fortunate with injuries, we have the quality to do reasonably well this year.

I agree another one up front would be nice, but Burke plays left or right wing and centre forward. Smile

What a sh#t transfer window, we're only gonna be top eight maybe pushing Everton for the Europa league spot, we only got an international left back, a 27 year old world class international DM with the highest level of experince, a 20 year old pacy, left/ right/ striker highly regarded with massive potential, a CB that so far has been immense, a striker although had injuries is the right age and talent, and we've still got jonny Evans, our club captain, a man mountain of a presence on and off the pitch, Chadli, slight character flaw in pre-season but hopefully able to be sorted and more attacking. To confound the sh#t window all done under budget and 12 of our academy have gone off to gain valuable experience, getting them first team ready.

Like I said a sh#t transfer window, TP out, Sack the board, I want to be overspending crap like the vile Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle

But really ...... what a fantastic window, great players in, no great players have left, a squad of real potential. Not been this excited about a season since our first premier league season ....... squad is bigger and stronger than last year ..... more cover ........ bring it on.

CoyB ..... sotv.

Rodriguez -  A very good signing
Hegazi - So far brilliant although a tad deaf Wink
Gibbs - Thank God a fast LB. Hallelujah eh BV
Burke - Excited by him. Is he faster than Willie? Can't be can he? Huh
Krychowiak - Unbelievable signing, can't believe it.
Barry - although 36 a massive improvement on Fletcher.

Jonny Evans staying. I'm ecstatic Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up
Nacer Chadli staying. Very pleased, let's get him back in the hole and doing what he does best.

Best window for a very long time. Great additions to our squad.

What is it with TV pundits, why do they feel that just because a team from the FA's elite gentleman's club comes calling that clubs like Albion, Swansea, west ham etc should just let their employees go for below their value, why does merson think jonny should feel aggrieved because he didn't join city, why does he feel we didn't let him go or blocked a good career move.

It's the spurs berahino thing all over again, little club know your place we want him, here's a shilling for your troubles.

We said if our valuation was met and he was willing, a deal could be done, we did not refuse, we did not block it, city did not offer the right money, a sellers market, the Dutch guy at Swansea, dick van duke, did not go to Liverpool for the same reason .....

I don't know what car merson drives but let's say it's a 66 plate range rover, market value £75000, I will give him £50000, will be sell ........ Like bell he will.

Merson, wind your neck in and jog on .......... CoyB.
