I am more than happy to eat a massive slice of humble pie because if we pull off the loan signing of Krychowiak that could potentially be our biggest signing ever. He's brilliant and an unbelievable signing.

Whatever we may think of Pulis and his football, he has a very proud record of success with both ourselves and Stoke City. Consequently it came as a surprise to me that he was prepared to extend his time with us recently despite a relatively poor transfer window last year and, at the point of his signing the contract, a poor window this year too.
Now it is apparent that both the owner and the board are backing him with some amazing work behind the scenes. I am sure I am not alone in expressing both surprise and pleasure at the players who either have come, or appear to be on the way in the last few days.
I recall those days in years gone by when every game in the PL was a struggle and we were frequently pasted. We now have a team who can compete with anyone in this league and give them a game.
I expect Evans and Chadli to leave tomorrow. Evans clearly wants to go play (or not play) his football with Manchester City and Chadli has blotted his copybook with TP, and that you cannot do.
We already had a club to be proud of. Today, if ever there was any doubt, we are the Pride of the Midlands.

Baggieman, never doubt the work put in by the backroom staff, always have faith in the manager, the chairman, the players. Concerns get raised every year because things happen so slowly and medium size clubs have to wait for the big boys ....... other teams dive in and sign players we're linked to ..... May only be media talk, it still raises hopes that get dashed.
Very pleased with this window ..... the first real window for years ..... here's hoping it's the start of years of European challenges.
