So I read the Observer (sister paper to the Guardian on a Sunday) and there was a big piece about Huddersfield Town and will it change the town etc.
Interesting piece but I think its a bit derogatory. Problem with the media is when they based down South they always put the North down. The Guardian and Hipsters will get a shock when they have to move back up to Manchester.

I thought it was a pretty good article tbh. Having gone to Huddersfield countless times, the town centre is in a very bad way and needs revitalising. The old independent cinema lies disused and would be great to be repurposed. Let's use the premier league to pump investment into the town and attract new opportunities. We can accept the town's flaws whilst still extolling its strengths. We're all being used to a backs to the wall mentality when people talk about town but let's welcome this new attention even if we don't agree with all of it.

hahahaha tbh I wouldn't mind that at all. But in all seriousness, I really hope this does wonders for the town centre. Much like my hometown of East London was derided by people until the olympics and the hipsters moved in, let's make Huddersfield a brilliant place across the board. There's a patisserie valerie at least haha!

I have had afternoon tea in Patisserie Valerie (amongst other visits there). It is OK but tbh, Northern Tea House is better.
