Pablo Ibanez, a free transfer when we returned to the Prem. Never really played much for us, went to Blues as part of the Fozzy deal.

Brown Ideye; nice bloke, nice idea, never really worked out.

Don’t know if he made the first team ever and I never saw him play but I do remember him. He came over with Maresca, he was blond and he used to drink cappuccinos in the Desi Junction. OK, I made the last bit up..

Anyway, I was going to say Pablo Ibañez Dodgy

Our first ever Canadian player: not Paul Peschisolido but Glen Johnson, who was signed by Alan Ashman in 1969 and spent five years at the Hawthorns making cameo appearances before going to the Vancouver Whitecaps.

To be honest don't remember much about him but he played over 200 games for us and scored over 50 goals. Not a bad strike rate for a winger.

Stan Jones; big tough no nonsense CB whose clearances often went into row Z.

Jacko was my favourite player in the early 60s. A real character, and so skilful.
Jonah was everyone's favourite no-nonsense stopper! I believe he ran a cafe in Walsall after retiring........Ska'd (?)

I really liked Brian Jensen but Russell Hoult kept him out of the team. The Beast was great when Hoult got injured. Sadly sold him to Burnley or did he go on a Bosnian?

And still playing at International level but, obviously something of a loose cannon.

A Celtic midfielder, on loan to Dundee, called Scott Allan has just got an assist in the Scottish League Cup against Cowdenbeath (yes, I know). Is that our Scotty Allan? And if so, or if not, how come we all missed him out in the 'A' week on this thread?

Did he actually play for our 1st team, Vic? I was looking forward to seeing him, but I seem to remember he played up a bit (?)
