Pointless - this week W, X, Y, or Z

Beefy mentioned him (above). I remember seeing him but can't remember a thing about his style of play or anything.

I struggled to think of an F, but Ska'd mentioned 4 on the trot from the mid 60s:

Mickey Fudge got that hat-trick against Everton who were the team to beat at the time, and probably won the League a couple of months after that game (?)
Ray Fairfax was mainly a stand-in for Gray Williams and Duggie Fraser (who was a massive player for us at wing-half, then full back). Ray continued his employment with the Albion when he hung his boots up, becoming Accountant then Company Secretary.
Kenny Foggo was underrated. We got him from the same conveyor belt that our Glasgow Scouts fetched Bobby Hope, Asa, Ali Robertson, Jim Holton, etc etc down to the Youth Team. He was a very fast tricky little right-winger, who laid on goals for Jeff and Yorkie on a plate.
Ronnie Fenton was a hardcase striker who we got from Burnley (?) He was only about 5'9", though, and I was glad when we bought Yorkie, then Jeff, as a replacement. Ron went into Management and was Cloughie's no.2 at Forest.

There was the other Fenton - was it Graham? - who went off to play for Villa.

Just remembered Percy Freeman. (I think his name was Peter, but he was known as Percy).

When he made his debut standing in for injured Jeff Astle, the no.1 single was Plastic Ono's "Give Peace a Chance", so the Brummie Road made him welcome by singing:

All we are say-ing
is give Perce a chance

Dougie was one of my favourites as well, WCA. Don't think he played anything below 7/10.
And he loved the Baggies, as well. Remember when he played towards the end of his career with Forest, the BRE sung his name when he came up for a corner and he clapped us - great moment!
Ruel was a major part of our Promotion Season under Megson. Really quick feet.

Some great nominations last week (F), and impossible to nominate the winner. Ska'd mentioned Fredgaard, who I just don't remember at all, but Kenny, Beefy, Bomber and Vic all came out with Pointless winners.

This week it's  G.
Without looking up in my Albion History book I can only come up with Alan Glover, who we bought from QPR in about 1970. He didn't really shine as a right-winger, but he was a very cultured player when Don Howe converted him to midfield at about the same time as we let Bobby Hope go.

Most of our Gs are pretty famous - Godden, Giles, Gaardsoe - but one of the few players in history we've had for two separate spells was goalie Mark Grew, who started his career with us before leaving, then returning on loan a few years later.

We also had a former Arsenal and Wolves striker in the early Seventies called Robert Gould. I wonder what became of him? Whistle
