With all the ins and outs this window .8 and counting in .i was wondering when we last had as bigger influx of players in one window .Matt might know .

Had a look on transfermarkt looks like it was 2008/09 Sheridan's first season in charge. Also had a few loan players as well.

If the Semedo rumour has any legs I might just change my earlier predictions. Getting on a bit but its somebody like him we need. Would be very surprised if it came off though.

Don't start that one on your boards!!! Too many Owls fans seem to live in cloud cuckoo land and think just because Semedo is best mates with Ronaldo that at some point he will come to us!!!! Ronaldo even mentioned us in a tweet, Owlstalk was in meltdown over that one!!!

But, Semedo would be a brilliant signing for you, he was a squad player for us most of last season and could probably still do a job in the Championship let alone League 2!!! Remember he is still only 32, so not sure he is getting on that much, still a good 4/5 years left in him as a defensive midfielder. Had he been a few years older I think we would have offered him a coaching role of some sort, his influence and attitude around the club has been superb while he was with us, but I would imagine he still wants to play for a few years yet.

Much as I'm all for giving youth its head and saying the one thing young players need is games ..... they need to come into teams alongside a few guys who've been there and can do it.

The thing about Bob's Boarders is they are absolutely right. One minute we have nothing, a huge debt and a former chairman who doesn't want to put in anything and would like to sell us. The next O'Grady appears with a great wage deal and rumours of Semedo surface. Where are we going?

I'm pretty sure there was no long-term plan behind DA's machinations, just feelings, wants and actions. Many successful businessmen do rely on instinct as well as spreadsheets. For all we know DA might be excited again by the possibility of a lower division and a chance at success. But it does kinda fckuyouup in terms of sense of direction when there's this kind of Donald-Trumpism at the helm, because DA is at the helm.

Maybe he has woken up to the fact that the fans are not mugs and if the rumour re the big drop in season ticket sales is to be believed, he has had to do something to try and get them back on board.
A big drop in ST sales downvalues his business. Maybe the penny has only just dropped.
