I'm with Quantum,on this one.
Pointless?  Never heard of it.
My definition of 'Pointless' is having Pulis as the HC of West Beowixh Albion Football Club.

If the premier league was an episode of pointless Derby would be the best answer ...... they scored 11 points.

No anecdote, just a few shudders from the early 90s...

You win last week's A-list, Bierzo.

This week:  B

I'll start with Jack Bannister (same name - but not the same bloke as the old cricketer).
He played 'wing-half', but all I can recall was that he played at the Villa early 60s same day that Chippy Clark and Harry Burrows got sent off for fighting.
It must have been around Bonfire Night, 1962, because I remember me and my brother took a couple of bangers to light when the Albion scored (after the Brazil fans in the World Cup a few months earlier).
Luckily we lost 2-0!

Steve Bull - promising kid but a poor first touch led to him being sold by Ron Saunders. Disappeared into football obscurity.

(Typing "Ron Saunders" almost made me think that Pulis isn't so bad).

Don't remember him, Zinman, but I knew a rag-and-bone man of that name.
