The 'talking' begins and I notice Aberdeen defender, Mark Reynolds, insisting the Dons will go 'toe to toe' with Celtic. I reckon the Dons will be given a severe cuffing if that type of deployment is adopted by Derek McInnes - we shall wait n see! This event is all about Celtic and their final competitive match of their domestic season being won, unbeaten and achieving a historic 'domestic treble'. The match stats v the Dons show that the Aberdeen club has lost all five fixtures this season v the Hoops and they will need to do something different v a team that is clearly far superior in every position and pushing to 'put the icing on the cake' in style - a historic 'treble' beckons! I'll predict a 4-0 win!

the result will depend on 2 things
First Celtics attitude if we are at our A game then regardless what the dons do we will win comfortably.
Second will McInnes resort to the long ball tactic he used at Pitodry 2 weeks ago, this caused a little problem as the pitch didn't allow us to play our passing game.
Even with the aerial bombardment the dons didn't actually make that many chances, don't that at Hampden would allow celtic to play on the counter and win easily.
3-1 the #invincibles

I thought hibs should have beat aberdeen on the day, they weren't impressive at all in the semi final. The celtic players will know they will be heroes if they win the treble so i think they will edge it in a hard fought game.
The sheeps best chance is to try and turn it into a slog,go long and pile pressure on brown.
If aberdeen 'open out' and try and match up to celtic they will get their erses handed to them.

Yeah, they have had a tremendous season anyway!
Aberdeen have a live chance, celtic have lost many big games in recent times at hampden. But mcinnes will have to get it right tactically, and thats where i have my doubts.
I notice he is in the running for the sunderland job too....i reckon they could do a lot better.

I really can`t see anything other than a Celtic victory,by at least 2 goals, but for the future of our game I hope Aberdeen win.
That`s maybe a bit hard on Celtic who have thoroughly deserved to be top dogs this season, at the end of the day you can only answer the exam paper put before you. It`s not Celtics fault that the questions were easy but unless someone can set out a harder paper I can see them pulling further away

You're right! We could predict this happening quite a few years ago as the general standard of other Scottish teams generally deteriorated. Deila should have previously won the 'treble' with a lesser Hoops' team had it not been for a referee named McLean and a pair of his ref assistants who officiated a Scottish Cup semi-final like utter dunderheids!
