This is an interesting development that has been highlighted in today's EEN Sport and I think there is probably a mixed opinion from Hibs fans. I must say I think Marciano has been a fairly steady goalie overall but the debatable events of that Scottish Cup semi-final raised some questions re his status at Hibs esp after previously observing the massive role of a legendary Hibs goalie, Conrad Logan, in helping Hibs to lift the Holy Grail last season!! I watched the tv highlights of that awful second Aberdeen goal, from a Hibs point of view, and Rocky really 'suckered himself' on his position in goal although I will defend him slightly as Hibs shit two man 'wall', that 'threw the coaching manual oot the windae', was nothing short of a disgrace and, had both players 'faced up' properly, that Christie shot would've been easily blocked and that goal would've been avoided!! He's apparently open to an offer of a contract and has enjoyed his time with Hibs. It will be curious to see how Lenny views it!

I hope he stays. He's still young for a keeper and will get better.

I don't blame him in the slightest for that goal. He was depending on the wall doing it's job so he could deal with a cross and McGeouch let him down badly.

At the time i blamed him for the goal,in retrospect i can see that if the wall had stayed firm he wouldn't have been caught out at all.

Marciano has on the whole been a very steady keeper for us this season,and one of lennon's best signings. I'd be happy enough with him and laidlaw again next season. Its in the middle to front areas where we need a re-vamp.

Lenny confirms his intention to sign Rocky! We'll see if he can agree terms to stay on for poss another season or two.
