Bob's Board

I keep saying Im going to stop reading it because its such a poisonous place at the moment ,the worse it has ever been.It makes my blood boil,it is certainly a place for big egos and keyboard warriors.
If anyone goes on there with a different opinion to the Bobs board Gestapo they are immediately set upon.I have no idea why its still called Spireite debate because there is no debate anymore ,if you are in any way positive about anything the club does then they are abused and bullied .They brag about not renewing season tickets but Im sure if they all stay away then the club will continue without them and will not fold as some of them would like .Some idiots are suggesting we form a breakaway afc Chesterfield and storm up the leagues like Wimbledon.
We all know the club has made some disastrous errors in the last few seasons but instead of trying to look to the future the message board members seem to enjoy dwelling on these past errors .I personally think if the club can show that they are moving forward and there's nothing to show that any more errors have been made recently ,then we could have a good season but they need the fans backing and i hope not too many are influenced by reading that message board .

Blue, they're still allowed an opinion even if they aren't renewing there season tickets. I don't think people are bragging about not renewing they have concerns and its a lot of money to renew a season ticket for L2 football even if its the early bird prices. People talking about an AFC Chesterfield that will only happen if the current club goes bust which I doubt it will.

Yes the club has made errors in the past few seasons but the most important question is Have they learned from them? What's that saying "Make a mistake once and its a lesson, make the same mistake twice and it becomes a choice"

Could we have a good season next season? Only time will tell with what happens in the Summer and who we sign and we let go.

I read Bob's Board a lot and a few make a lot of sense on there but there are posters who make off the cuff comments probably because they are passionate and love the club like we all do. Those who aren't renewing season tickets won't stay away they will pick and choose the odd games to go and watch. Buying a season ticket doesn't make you any more of a fan than someone not buying one and someone not buying a season ticket doesn't make them any less of a fan. People's circumstances and financial circumstances are all different.

It's not for us to judge why people aren't renewing or don't want to renew.

Agree 100% Matt.
The club is still being run badly. How on earth could we let O'Shea go to Sheff U and we paid all his wages? Ok we get it back as they got promoted but FFS what if they hadn't? We have had a County Court Judgement against us from a bloody solicitor that the club employed to fight another CCJ they claimed was incorrect. We have just signed a contract with a new pie supplier when the old one still has a continuous valid contract, owns all the ovens and the director involved claims the club didn't know because they lost all the paperwork !!! It was said at the QA session the other night that they couldn't even find some of the players contract including Evatt. We are losing sponsors by the score including Karen Child. We are paying members of DA's family wages for non existent jobs. We are losing revenue hand over fist and we just carry on as if nothing is wrong. Like I said in my other post we are in so deep its not going to be an easy climb out.

Are we still losing revenue hand over fist ? I guess until the contracts are up we are stuck with paying the wages .Again blaming it on current situation when you know well its a legacy problem .

Carson has stated we are losing £1million a year. If gates drop as far as expected we will lose even more. Its no legacy problem, its current. Wake up Blue.

Just to add something re us paying O'Sheas wages, it also seems he can play against us on Sat. Who the hell comes up with these ideas of good deals? Imagine if by some miracle we had a chance of survival and he scored against us. I just cant get my breath.

I thought it was league rules that prevented players from playing against their parent clubs?? I didn't think it was something that could be decided by the clubs.

Problem is if we had no wage bill, we would still probably lose money. The stadium is the problem I think and budgeting for the wrong size of crowds.

As far as I know its up to the clubs to put it in any agreement.

O'Shea wasn't in the squad for their last match. He's hardly integral. It might be good if he played and grabbed a hat trick so the club could look like cnuts in front of everyone.

If anyone was in any doubt that is.
