Good win fellas from what sounded like a shite game. 3 wins on the bounce now which is good that we are grinding them out at this stage of the season. On the flip side how were we so poor compared to last Saturday. What happened in those 6 days ?
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

Ok, so no real changes yet in the playoff race except that Derby and Preston are now surely out of the race. If Newcastle can discover their form and get a few goals we could still go above L**ds on GD but i think thats unlikely!! The Village look good for a playoff spot, 7 points ahead of Fulham with a game in hand, but all the other spots are definitely up for grabs between us, Reading, L**ds and Fulham!!

Thats been the story of our season, while we have consistently picked up points the performances have been up and down from game to game!! So will say that good teams grind out wins when not playing great, well thats definitely us!! We just have to get in the playoffs and then you never know, there is no one on form or that we should fear in them this season, but of course they will all say the same, its going to be a completely open as to who will win them this season!!

So true!! Look at our results this season against those around us, reading played spoiler and beat us twice whereas Newcastle and the Village tried to play football and we did the double over both of them!!! We struggle to break down teams that park the bus or come to frustrate us by sitting back a bit and just breaking up the play. If we get into the playoffs, it might be crucial who we actually get in the semis due to the style of play!!!

Football 1-0 Anti Football.

As some of us thought, Warnock set Cardiff up to spoil the game, although we did start brightly, with Wallace hitting the post. After 15 mins it started to get scrappy, which suited Cardiff and they had a few chances.

2nd half it got worse, time-wasting, Cardiff players going down "injured" and the ref losing control. CC made 3 changes, Nuhiu, Rhodes & FF coming on for Jones, Fletch & Hooper. That gave us a bit of a spark, Nuhiu & Rhodes both holding the ball up well and instigating some attacking moves. Then Rhodes & FF linked up well, Rhodes shot was saved only for FF to come flying in with lovely diving header. 1-0 and we saw the game out.

Westwood 6

Hunt 7
Lee 7
Sasso 7
Pudil 7

Wallace 6
Bannan 5
Jones 6
Reach 4

Fletch 6
Hooper 5

FF 7
Nuhiu 7
Rhodes 7

CC 7

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock told BBC Radio Wales:

"I'm disappointed. I've never felt more comfortable at Hillsborough. Other than the shot in the first half, I didn't think we were troubled.

"We had some good opportunities which we didn't take advantage of. Other than that, I was quite pleased - just disappointed with the goal.

"When they put Rhodes and Forestieri on, we haven't spent a penny. You look at the sort of money they've spent and they're sixth in the league, so it's got to give us a lot of confidence that we can improve in the summer.

"They're sixth in the league and I don't know how they've come away with a win."

Pleased with time-wasting, players feigning injuries and how not to play football.

Says all you need to know about Warnock's "footballing philosophy".

Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.
