Billing didn't have a poor game but he's just not at the level of Mooy or Hogg yet in terms of what he brings to the team. Hogg was MOTM by a mile on Saturday - pressed everything for 90 minutes and broke up play brilliantly. Mooy as well was brilliant when he came on - enabled us to play our game further up the pitch, create chances of our own and stop sitting so deep (apart from the last 5 minutes which is normal when seeing out a game). They're our starting 2 in the middle and rightly so, Billing has a big future but at the minute he's more lightweight than both of them and still a bit too casual in possession for this level when teams press very quickly.

Agree with Cas, he just isn't quite on their level yet but he'll get there. Brentford are a very accomplished team, make no bones about that. On that showing, they shouldn't be 10th/mid-table. Midfield and Strikers all not big but strong, quick and mobile and they pass the ball around well. The fact we kept Jota relatively quiet is testament to Chris Lowe and how well he played. His quick-thinking to chip the ball over the defender for VLP for the goal. Schindler was my MOTM but Lowe and Hogg close 2nds. We really need to kill these teams off and they should have had two goals in 5 minutes when we started playing suicidally out the back. Billing could have cost us a goal with a sloppy pass in the first half as well. Their full-back gave Tommy his most difficult game of the season so far and he should have really got booked for persistent fouling but he played the dark side of the game to good effect. Massive massive win and now I hope Wagner will just be saying to them get Bristol beat and its a whole 2 weeks off to recharge and go again.
