It is possible to view Sportsbabble without having to sign in. When a member does this they appear as a guest. This means that all guests are not, sadly, possible new members. I had been excited about the volume of 'guests' at one stage but am now not so sure if they show a potential set of new members.

I have the option of stopping the ability to view sports babble without signing in but that would probably be more inconvenient for actual members and so have resisted.

I am now going to start tweeting Ska'd Match Threads in an attempt to excite the apposing fans by his fantastic match day introductions and see if that attracts people to sign up - I should have been doing that a long time ago.

I just need all members to keep promoting the site to friends, especially if you have a number of friends supporting the same team - challenge them to sign up and talk about their club and then pull others in to join them.

I tried promoting the site to other members of my family but as when they visit us we use the same computer router, and thus the same ISP Address they were not allowed to post any comment or article so abandoned their membership in favour of other sites. It was embarrassing and now I don't promote the site.  There should be a clear warning that only one member per household is allowed.

Silver, I'm not impressed with the HoL, but if you think an elected one will be any better...just look at the House of Commons. I honestly don't know what the answer is.
