Saint Mirren v Hibs, Wed 1 Mar, KO 7.45pm

I've said it several times on here, and i'll say it once more. If we are lucky enough to go up this season the squad needs gutted cup winners or not. They just don't have the right mentality.

Stubbs had us losing 5 or 6 games in a row at this stage including humiliations from Morton and Dumbarton. As Ritchie says nothing new here.

If we lose at tannadice we are in big bother though. Make no mistake.

One 'crumb of comfort' Jim is the fact that this poor performance is very much akin to the form of Dundee United at the moment. Also the tangerines visit New Saint Mirren Park in their next fixture after Hibs visit. I don't believe they will win their match v the Buddies and I reckon there is a seven day period of opportunity where Hibs can really damage United's aspirations but they must start playing with commitment and belief!!!!

I know mate, but we may well have given them a huge boost in knowing that if they win those games they are firmly back in the race for promotion. Its immensely frustrating as we should be sitting here coasting towards promotion. These teams are not better than us.

First 20 mins against dunfemline we looked a really tasty side and that we were going to blow them away. Excellent in the derby match and could have put 6 past the hertz............ straight to mediocre performances v raith and ayr, and total non effort v saints.

Maybe newhavens right - get the youngsters like martin and crane in the team for the cup game.

Most importantly HFC are 7 points clear. Dundee utd are getting pressure added from Morton & Falkirk which is good also
I honestly think this result has been coming for a few weeks now so maybe it's the kick up the arse some players are needing to remind them it's not easy in this league. We're still in control but the injuries have played a major role in the team Neil Lennon wants to play.

We all know what football we can play so I still feel confident with our progress so lets roll with it just now guys.

Defo play Scotty Martin in cup tie in place of Fyvie he's like a wee pit bull just what we need a non stop runner c'mon hibs

The one crumb of comfort was that ambrose did quite well i thought,he looks a bit off the pace (he hasn't played first team fitba since the summer) but he's clearly a decent enough player.
