One game down in a series of 6 games we should be looking to win before we have to play a team near the top of the league again. First one got us a point, but should have been three, now we need to rectify this and we really need to take all the points from this one!! Wigan have struggled all season and currently sit in the relegation spots, three points from safety. As we have seen before we do have a habit of struggling against the bottom teams, but we have done better this season so far so lets hope that continues.
I think I am right in saying that after Burton this is the team we have faced the fewest times, this will only be the 8th game against them and so far we have won 4 and lost three, one of those wins was at their place. Based on that it is unlikely to be a draw!!
Last time we played them at Wigan was back in 2014 when a late Nuhiu goal got us all three points. Interesting fact - they had a player sent off just prior to our goal - Callum McManaman, lets hope he stays on the field this time!!! Here is the video:
THE LAST MATCH
Two decent goals from us and two sloppy goals for them, the second one of their being completely spawny!!!! But that is the way it goes if you don't close out a game when you have the lead!!!! One point gained but definitely two points dropped!!!
Here is the video!!
WHO'S IN AND WHO'S OUT
So after what seems like years of being linked to him, it finally becomes a reality!!! I for one am delighted to have him at S6, we do create a decent amount of chances and this is one player who knows where the goal is!!! We miss more chances than most teams where we simply do not test the keeper, if he continues to be the player he was at the Village and Blackburn then he will convert more of these than our other strikers have been!!!
Still no Fletcher and interesting that Hooper was not in the squad at Brizzle. Hutch is back I believe and should come straight back in. No other injuries that I am aware of. Here is my team:
Westwood
Palmer Loovens Lees Reach
Abdi Hutchinson Bannan Forestieri
Winnall Rhodes
What team would you like to see??
WHO'S THE BASTARD IN THE BLACK
Ref - STEPHEN MARTIN
Andrew Fox and Jonathan Hunt
Fourth Official Andrew Madley
Anyone know anything about this guy??
