Oh dear.....that's really upsetting. I only started looking on this Site when I read of Steve's fight, and his humorous posts have been a credit to his Club. (I now look 3-4 times a day to cheer me up!)
RIP Steve. Here's hoping you have some influence up There, and oversee Wednesday's gradual return to the top.
God Bless.

Never met MS, but always looked forward to his posts and match reports. One of the more level headed when talking about the Owls on here. He must have been so proud of his son with those fundraising efforts and if that money can save a few lives even better. This forum won't quite be the same.
RIP MS.

I too never had the honour of meeting Steve. I can only echo the sentiment that this loss will be felt profoundly throughout many communities. There aren't many level headed, intelligent down to earth people on this planet.
I always looked forward to Steve's match reviews and ratings, it allowed me find to middle ground through my pessimistic, cynical outlook.
Todays game will somewhat be a solemn affair for me. I really hope we take the away win so I can feel like there's some small justice in the universe.
A final 'Barmy Army!' for Steve.

I think I may have been the only poster on here who met both Steve and his son and although it was only briefly I can say that I was honored to do so. Very measured and knowledgeable about all things Wednesday and will sadly be missed by all.
Unfortunately the commentary today will be Radio Sheffield but hopefully we can get him the shout out he deserves at the next home game and that the team kick in to gear in his memory.
