Help Nuneaton to Help Ourselves
#1
Nuneaton Borough are back on the verge of going out of business. Their manager and caretaker owner Jimmy Ginnelly has approached several clubs to let them have players to play for free. We are one of those clubs.

Much as I am opposed to Mr Sheridan's selection policy of providing opportunities for young players of other clubs at the expense of our own I do think this is an ideal opportunity to help Nuneaton and help ourselves. They play in the division below us. They have twelve games left and are clear at the bottom of their division. But they are fighting for their lives. We have several young players who, if they are going to make it with us, need a way to force themselves into first team contention - Amantchi, Sharman, Wakefield - and if as I suspect we didn't really want Louis Dodds back, wouldn't Nuneaton be a shop window for him for the tail-end of his career?

Nuneaton needs its football club. This an opportunity to be seen doing something good for once.

Sorry Matt you're marked down for an administrative position.

I just think 12 games at that level for Amantchi would be far more developmental than hanging around in our juniors going backwards.

And whilst I'm moaning about us ......... go on Chesterfield's website and look up our squad. We've players on there long since gone, like Callum Burton and others who we couldn't even be bothered to picture. I still strongly believe present yourself as shit and that's exactly what you'll become.

Someone at the Proact NEEDS a good kick up the arse.

I probably would make a good football administrator.

You would be a good football administrator Matt.

Sadly I think you would be better than you are as a player .......... because there is no limit to how good an administrator you could become ........ and like most of us I think you'd admit you've discovered limitations on your footballing talents.

I think I could play at Step 10-11 and any Step below but that's about it. I've noticed there isn't that much difference between Step 12 and Step 10

But we all want to be Step 1 inside our own heads .....

I could run a club an interesting website, a magazine, a programme .......... but I'm too lazy to be a really good administrator. My dad was very clever AND a very good administrator. You SpireMatt as I've told you before have the mind-set to be a really good administrator, much higher than Steps 10-12 - all the way to the top naughty step.

Nuneaton are holding open trials for the first team. You have to pay £50 and the first 50 who apply will be offered a trial.
