Dear Mr. Corbyn,.........

I realise that the gate money is just pocket money for big clubs, but a universal boycott by home fans would - I think - make everyone notice what's going on. My opinion, obviously, but I think the powers that be, the press, and even those big clubs would be stung by that and be very worried that the bad image given to football by the bedrock of their traditional support would, or could, result in a general negative feeling towards them >> investers being put off >> money drying up.

Theory. A dream. Maybe.

I just had a premonition......

(Murdoch speaking to his Management Team):

"Now look here, Poms. My viewing figures are dropping by the week, and I think it might be because proper "Footy" fans are taking my very attractive aerials down and cancelling their subs.
The only way to appease them is - yes, you've guessed it - get the teams to score more goals. There's only West Brumwhich Athletic (or whatever) who are scoring enough goals, and that's why our SkyBet Manager gets West Brum games every week.
I'm down to my last £10 Billion ffs, so I want more goals!!!! If it costs me a few £million every week to "persuade" Football Chairmen to achieve a few more 5-4 results, the fans will be happy, the aerials will go back up, and the subscriptions will increase. Everyone's happy, and my Mr. SkyBet and Mr. Scudamore can keep their job. (If not, they're off my payroll!)"

I woke up in a cold sweat, but it's not as daft as it sounds, you know.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
