Happy Anniversary

Fifty years to the day since we last won the Cup. I was rather bemusedly watching on the telly and decided that if this team was good enough to win the cup I'd follow them rather than the Chelseas and Spurs that all my mates at school were on about.
If only I'd known...

One of THE best days of my life!
I only had 3 pints of Natspiss down Oxford Street that night, but that was all we needed, singing and dancing on Hyde Park Corner from 10 till the coach picked us up at midnight.
(I shudder to think how comparatively meaningless an FA Cup win is 50 years later. I can't even remember who won it last year. But, back then, it was more important than winning the League.)
